After wishing on a star to be a time traveler, you've been given the choice to travel to any country and be in any time period that you want.

Pick a location, tell us what year you're in, and tell us who, or what, is keeping you in that time period in a maximum of 1500 words. Will you return to your proper time period? Or will you choose to stay? And why?
