- The German-born Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria installed the first Christmas tree at Windsor castle in 1841.

- The first electric Christmas tree lights appeared late in the 1880s.

- The first Christmas tree was displayed in the white house in 1889.

-King Richard II  of England hosted a Christmas feast in 1377 at which twenty-eight oxen and three hundred sheep were eaten. 

-Yule bear was the cherry of every medieval Christmas feast.
