Luna has been homeschooled ever since she was six, and all the friends she's ever needed have been in her books. But one day, her parents send her to regular school. Luna is nervous at first, and battles a flood of worries, but her parents assure her she'll make lots of friends. Only things don't go exactly as she imagined. Her homeroom advisor skipped over Luna's name in attendance, the lunch ladies didn't hear her order at lunch, the teachers ignored her, and all the students acted like she was invisible, except for a beautiful girl named Lily who she might have a teeny weeny crush on. Luna was walking to get milk when she finds a newspaper that brings her world crashing down. She works with an unexpected ally (or more than an ally...?) to figure out how to save herself.
