I walked down the hall and into the bathroom starting a warm shower. I stripped out of my wet clothing and got into the shower. My parents are in the mafia. I have a brother. Lily was only my friend for information. And now her parents are trying to kill both me and Rafe. Preferably me. I sighed letting the warm water take over my stiff body.
After I finished I wrapped a towel around my body and walking to my room. I dried my body and hair picking out an outfit. I decided to wear light blue denim shorts and a white cami cropped top. I paired that with my checkered black and white vans and some perfume. I sighed staring at myself in my vanity. I looked like shit. My eyes had dark dark circles and my face was swollen. I looked tired but I was. I was so tired.
I put on some mascara and lipgloss just keeping it simple. I brushed my blonde locks letting it air dry. I put on my clear glasses and stood up. I sighed walking out of my room and into my living room. I jumped when I saw a man sitting on my couch.
"Hey sis." The male said in a deep voice. His hair was black and fluffy. He was wearing a black dress shirt with black trousers. His sleeves rolled up revealing the tattoos on his arms. He had three buttons undone as he was on his phone.
"Uh. Hi?" I said scrunching my brows together. I didn't know what to say.
"So I heard you killed Lily. Never knew you had it in you." He said looking up from his phone to reveal his face features. He had hazel brown eyes and a perfectly shaped jawline. He looked like he went to the gym.
"I didn't kill her, I was just a witness." I rolled my eyes. He chuckled darkly and stood up showing his tallness. He was about the same height as Rafe.
"So, why'd you do it?" He said walking over to my kitchen opening the refrigerator.
"She was going to kill me first so uh I had to protect myself." I said walking to the island and sitting down.
"Hm." He hummed grabbing a water bottle and setting it on the table.
"You know how to work a gun?" He said and I raised my brows. No. I didn't answer.
"I'll take that as a no. Mom and dad never taught you?" He said and I shook my head.
"I'll teach you since you know, your going to need to know for self defense." He said reaching behind his back reaching into his waistband and pulling out a gun. I gulped at the sight. Getting flashbacks from Lily's murder. My family were murders.
"I guess." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"My names Giovani. If you didn't know." He grinned. It's like we didn't know each other. Well we didn't.
"Madison." I said in response. He frowned tilting his head.
"So, Rafe Cameron huh, nice guy." He said and I looked in confusion. Nice guy? What is he talking about.
"You met him before?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Nah, just assumed." He said and I still stared with furrowed brows.
"Anyway mom and dad said we have to go to this stupid ball because they requested my presence so they want me to bring you." He said and I grew even more confused.
"Aren't we being watched?" I said and he nodded.
"Yeah but presence is mandatory or else they kill you." He said with a soft smile.
"I don't think that's how it works." I said slowly narrowing my eyes at him.
"Wanna find out?" He asked.
"No." I replied.
"Okay then, your dress is right there." He said pointing toward my living room. I looked at it raising my brows. It was beautiful. It was a silk dark red dress that was ankle length and has a slit running down the side of my thigh.
"That is gorgeous." I said admiring the dress.
"Mom picked it for you." He said. I smiled. She always knew what to get for me or what I would like.

I put the dress on and it fit my body perfectly. It showed some cleavage but it was a gorgeous sight.
I was about to do my makeup when I heard my phone ringing. I picked it up to see a call from Rafe. I smiled pressing answer.
"Hi baby." He said.
"Hi." I said while touching up my makeup.
"Are you doing okay?" He said.
"Yeah but listen theres a lot I need to tell you but right now I can't-" I was interrupted by the sound of my door opening and my brother speaking.
"Okay so which watch?" He said holding up two watches. A gold and silver one.
"Hm." I said tilting my head to the side. "Definitely the silver one, it goes with your suit better." I smiled. He wore a black suit with a red pocket square to match my dress.
"Agreed." He said putting the watch around his wrist and walking away.
"Who was that?" Rafe said. I can hear the jealousy in his voice.
"One second." I said. "GIOVANI!" I shouted for him and he busted into my room.
"WHAT!" He said and I can hear the slight panic in his voice.
"Who are you?" I asked with a smirk making sure Rafe can hear him.
"Your brother? Why are you asking me this Madison. You scared the shit out of me don't do that again." He said pointing a finger at me before walking out again and I laughed.
"See baby, nothing to worry about." I said finishing up my hair and walking over to put on the Louis vutton red bottom heels that were paired with this outfit. My parents really were rich as fuck.
"Where are you going anyway?" He said.
"Im going to a ball my mother and father demanded me to go to." I said and he hummed.
"What were you going to say before your brother interrupted." He said.
"Listen we have a lot to talk about. Ill tell you everything tomorrow I promise." I said and he agreed.
"Okay, please stay safe I love you." He said.
"I love you too." I said before ending the call.
I walked out my room and down the hall with my Chanel purse. My brother nodded.
"Ready?" He said.
"Perhaps." I said and we walked out the house.
