There's so much I could say, but at the same time there's so much I don't want to say. I'm simply grateful that I was able to finish this book that I started in jest. It transcended the narrow vision I had planned for it, and became a learning experience in love and moving on.

A humble thank you and jazakAllah khayr to those who supported me: from the one who heard this idea first, to the one who asked me about it everyday, to the one who saw all the snippets before anyone else, to the ones who inspired the characters---nearly all characters in this book are named after people who came into my life, made me happy, and left when it was time.

Thank you for reading my book. If you have any questions, please comment and I will try my best to answer.

5/22/23 Edit: I had an epiphany this morning (as one does), and it reminded me of Puranay Rastay.

In surah ad-duha (93), which was sent down to comfort the Prophet ﷺ Allah says, "And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied(5)" Now although this surah was revealed to comfort the Prophet, we as his ummah are in extension addressed too. Here Allah is telling the Prophet that although he ﷺ is currently in distress and uncertain about tomorrow, Allah will surely gift him with contentment.

Take a minute to reflect on this: contentment.

What is contentment? It's not always something you desired and desired and desired oh so so much. Because we all know that sometimes even after getting the thing you were dying to get, you may not feel satisfied. Rather, you may get contentment from something you never wanted!

"....It could be that you dislike something, when it is good for you; and it could be that you like something when it is bad for you. Allah knows, and you do not know." (2:216)

Do you see where I'm going with this?

The reason I thought of Puranay Rastay was because this happens to Rida. She wanted something (to be with and love Aqib), but she was given something else (Khaled), and that fulfilled her because it was better for her!

I wish I could explain this profound concept in better words (I CAN'T GET THE WORDS OUT WHEN IT REALLY REALLY MATTERS), but you get what I mean, right?

Please, no matter what situation you are in, have full faith that Ar-Rehman will give you what is better for you. AND MAKE DU'A !!!1

Rabbi anzil'nī munzalan mubārakan wa-anta khayru l-munzilīn. "...'My Lord, make me land a blessed landing, and You are the best of those who bring (someone) to land'." (23:29)
