Within me I struggle, within me I cry

Without you I'm hopeless, without you I'll die

The space between us, is space so unclear

The space I surround, is all I fear

The light I hold, is all the light I see

The light that withers, is the flame beneath

The picture in my head, is when we were at play

You said that you loved me and said that you would stay

But you didn't

I knew that you were weak, I knew that you tried

To keep us together, like the birds in the sky

You whispered me away, then you gave me everything you had

You also fell apart, like me when I lost my dad

You held out your fingers and shook your head no

Then things between us grew ugly and it started to show

Walls were put up, and I kept you back

I then shook my head in return and called you an ass

I thought you were funny until you were not

I lost myself slowly and you still had my heart

It's why I'm so broken so fragile and cold

I become a menace and an unfortunate soul
