I was still emotionally recovering from my kiss with Paige yesterday at the cookout. I was baking because it is one of my favorite hobbies for de-stressing.

I just put a batch of chocolate chip cookies in the oven when I check my phone and see a notification from Instagram that someone DMed me. When I read Paige Bueckers 💕sent you a message, excitement overtakes my body and butterflies fill my stomach.

I click on the notification and the message reads:

In the most un-dry way possible, what are u doing?

For a moment I consider saying "Do you mean in the most moist way?" but decide it's best if I keep that joke to myself. Instead I type: Baking cookies🧑‍🍳

It takes no more than a minute for her to reply with Really?! That's crazy! I love cookies!!!

It sounds like she wants to come over. I don't know how my dad would feel about that though, so I text her back:

I can bring you some to PT Monday before practice if you would like

She responds immediately:

I'm impatient. Maybe I could just come over right now??

I bite my lip as it pains me to turn her away because I really do want her to come over.

I don't know. My dad is here🫤

Paige: It's fine he loves me

Y/n: But he wouldn't love you here for me

Paige: Who said I was coming for you🤨

Y/n: Oh, sorry, how assumptive of me

Paige: I'd just be there for the cookies

Y/n: Oh well, too bad u aren't getting either

Paige: I'm not?

Y/n: Nope.

Paige: Really?

Y/n: Affirmative.

Paige: Not even cookies?

Y/n: By no means.

Paige: Not even you?

For some reason that message made me a little nervous.

Y/n: Negative.

Paige: Are you sure?

Along with that message comes a picture, a selfie of her laying in bed, her head propped up on a pillow, a serious look on her face and she's wearing a sports bra. No shirt.

I immediately thirst over her. I can't help but want to text her back No, I want you so bad just come over my dad can get the fuck over it you gorgeous sexy human being. But I don't, obviously.

Y/n: Tempting

Paige: Really? Just how tempting?

Y/n: Very.

I had to at least give her that.

Y/n: But not enough for you to come over while my dad's here.

Paige: When will he not be there?

This question stops me for a second. The nervousness I was feeling before just sky rocketed. This just got real. I think for a little while and remember him saying him and Mom are going on a double date with their friends next weekend. Just for the evening though.
