Maxine bell had just moved to Boston due to her fathers job. 2 year later she find herself in a predicament with her ex and best friend.

"Tada!!" he says opening his arms. He set up a blanket and food under the stars.
We spend the night talking, laughing, looking at stars and eating. Sadly the night had to come to an end due to a curfew set by my father but before it did Nate had one more thing planed for tonight.
Nate walked me back to my hotel room with all the stuff in his hand struggling to reach for the small folded note.
"I know this is a bit elementary school... but its us, so take it and open it in your hotel room and circle your choice then pass it back to me just like all the other notes."
I nodded and smiled "goodnight Nathan"
"Sleep well gorgeous"
I open the door walking inside giving Nate one more smile before I shut the door. I climb into my bed and open the note

"How'd it go?" arlo appears leaning on the door.
"Fine, why?"
"Just fine?" arlo ask as his expression changed from a smug look to a confused one.
"He asked me if he could be my boyfriend" i say with the biggest smile on my face.
"I'm guessing you said yes"
"I nod my head "but he doesn't know yet"
i show him the note not letting him read it
"God you guys are such kids"
"You're just mad cause Maeve is in love with chris and not you"
