⚘Toxic

This one is not a piece of poetry, but a piece of my soul. (An expert from my unpublished book, Feather)

You know what the worst part of a toxic relationship is? 
 
It takes away your light; it takes away the part of you that makes you you. It takes away your confidence. It turns all your efforts into a joke and makes you feel undervalued.
 
It leaves you broken—so broken that when the right one comes, you become the toxic one for them. You push them away, thinking you don't deserve them. You lost your ability to love like you used to. You feel hallowed from inside; you feel like you have nothing left. When the right one comes, you feel like you don't have it in you to give your all. 
 
The right one becomes hollow from inside because of the lack of love. The right one becomes the toxic one for their right ones, and the cycle continues. 
 
And that's why we have to heal ourselves first before jumping into a new relationship.
