Peace

Something worth cherishing, yet so easy to lose

For as long as there's peace, there will always be someone trying to destroy it

And likewise, there will always be someone trying to preserve it

Under the gentle cover of the night, shadowy figures moved across the shipping yard

Their prey, security guards who had no idea of their presence, and that would continue to be the case, as the agents took them out without firing a single bullet

One of them turned around the corner and swiftly got ahold of a guard, covering her mouth and putting her in a chokehold until she passed out

A tower nearby, responsible for providing light to the patrols, was about to come across the agent and the unconscious guard when from behind, a similar fate would befall the man

It wasn't long before the agents had taken out half of the security staff

But as proficient as they were, their objective was merely to take care of the reinforcements, for the main event took place within the warehouse

Ostanian officers of high caliber, mercenaries, and traitors from Westalis reunited for an important announcement, something that could "change the tide of the war in weeks"

Of course, such an announcement could not be made through official channels, so this place served as well as any

???: This better be worth it, Major

The Colonel, as well as the others present, approached the makeshift stage where a shorter man stood. Guards could be seen by each side, and behind him, a silver briefcase

Major: I assure you, Colonel, it will be

With a grin, the man began to explain

Major: My scientists have developed a new weapon for our arsenal. Capable of turning a crowded battlefield...into a graveyard

This got some of the people to whisper amongst themselves. The Major stepped aside to reveal the briefcase. He opened it to reveal a small metal canister, as well as a larger one with a biohazard sign slapped into it

All the conversation stopped as all eyes were now on the small object the man gestured to with excitement

Major: This is a chemical agent the likes of which have never been seen before, because no one else has what it takes to claim victory

???: That is promising and all, but you cannot expect us to simply take your word for it, Major

Unamused, another person stepped up, the CEO of one of the biggest military manufacturers in the East

Major: Of course not, Miss Thornton. After all, what is a charlatan if not a man without proof?

With that same grin, the man reached into his coat and slammed a folder into the wooden crate before him
