Chapter 15

I knew the girls were still afraid after seeing Kieran take care of Aarons, but I tried to reassure them that they were safe now and were more than welcome to join us.

Anyone who hadn't seen something like that before would be afraid too much like I had been, but after a while they calmed down and I made them some dinner and Alina and Elise took them on a tour around the pack lands and I could see the hope growing in their eyes now.

Kieran walked in, muscles on full display as he grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and drank the entire thing as he eyed at me from across the room.

I knew what he was thinking as he approached me and I couldn't help but laugh as he lifted me onto the counter, stepping between my legs as he kissed me.

I wrapped my hands around his neck as we kissed and I felt his hands lingering at the hem of my shirt.

I smirked as I pulled away, lifting my shirt over my head and tossing it to the side.

He kissed my neck softly as I ran my hands down the chiseled muscles of his stomach, stopping at the hem of his pants.

I moaned softly when his canines grazed my mark and I heard his deep chuckle.

I unbuttoned his pants and unzipped them slowly as he kissed my lips. He moved his kisses down my neck and across my breast and to the nape of my stomach. I moaned at the feel of his hands gripping my thighs as he kissed the inside of each one.

I jumped when I heard a gasp.

I turned to see my parents, Kieran's parents, Alina and Daniel, and Pierre standing by the back door.

I cursed and jumped off the counter, struggling to find my shirt as Kieran zipped his pants quickly as he cursed.

I saw my shirt on the ground next to my father and Alina saved me the embarrassment and tossed it to me, an amused grin on her face as I looked anywhere but at our family.

I put it on quickly and stood up straight, hands posed on my hips in annoyance at the interruption.

"What?" Kieran growled as he steadied his breathing.

"We just wanted you to know that your plans are all set. Guest will be arriving in approximately three hours." Alina said quietly.

"And it took all of you?" Kieran growled much to my amusement.

"Plans for what?" I asked.

"I'm throwing you a belated birthday dinner at Pierre's. Also going to formally introduce you as my mate and Luna. Kieran said.

"You didn't have to do that." I said to him smiling.

"You deserve to be shown off like the gem you are, darling. Half of the people invited are Alphas and Lunas who thought my pack and I were mere rumors. It should be interesting." Kieran said with a smirk.

"Promise you won't hurt anyone?" I asked.

"Because this event is in your honor, I will bite my tongue, but if someone dares lay a hand on you, I'll end them in a second." Kieran said.

"Its a deal." I said chuckling.

"Yay! Time to get you dressed!" Alina said and gripped my hand.

I pecked Kieran's lips just as his sister ran upstairs with me, pulling me into one of the spare rooms.

It took Alina nearly the entire time to get ready and by the time we were, we were an hour late to our own dinner. And I was very surprised to learn Kieran had chosen my dress, it was beautiful and sexier than what I would have chosen for myself, which surprised me even more considering how possessive Kieran could be. Which Alina explained was the entire reason he chose it, to show them what they couldn't have. I rolled my eyes at my mate's ways but found humor in it nonetheless. It was a gorgeous off-white lace that hugged my figure and draped off my shoulders and cascaded into a beautiful bodice that reached the floor. My makeup was dark and smoky, my eyes contrasting against the dark browns and black that were blended around my eyes.

I chuckled as we walked out the car hurriedly after the drive, Alina pulling me behind her as she grinned at the security who didn't even dare to question who she was, instead they bowed in respect as we past.

Alina grinned as she saw Daniel in a striking black tuxedo and I grinned at the couple.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, and I knew exactly who it was as his mouthwatering scent flooded my senses.

I stood up on tip toe, gripping Kieran by his tuxedo collar as I kissed him.

I pulled away to see him smiling down at me.

"You look incredibly gorgeous, as I assumed you would." He said smiling, his smile making him even more good looking which I didn't think possible.

I smiled and kissed his lips again softly in response .

He growled lowly in approval, deepening the kiss as the sound of Alina and Daniel's retreating footsteps sounded and it was eventually quiet and we were alone.

He pulled away, looking into my eyes as he rested his head against mine.

"You are so precious to me." He said.

"I love you too." I whispered and laced my arm into his as we began to walk.

I watched as Kieran smiled for me once more and then the seriousness of the situation presented itself, his smile fading as we walked towards two huge doors, guarded by members of our pack and I could see them patting down a couple as they entered.

"Calm yourself. love. It is just a precaution after the last time we were here. A room full of high ranked wolves, emotions can run high, simple arguments can lead to wars, challenges, deaths, many things I do not wish to have tonight. I want us to have fun." He said to me.

I nodded. He was right. Expecting there not to be at least an argument would have been foolish with the toxicity some of our culture had grown into. Shoving so much power into one room , someone is bound to get angered.

"But if at any point you feel uncomfortable, or anything at all, call my name and I will be there." He said.

I kissed him once again and smiled at him as the doors opened.

What I didn't expect was for us to be lead to an entirely different part of the building and be above everyone else on the edge of a gorgeous marble stairway and I also didn't fail to notice how every single person was dressed in black attire except for myself.

I gripped Kieran's arm tighter as we slowly walked down the stairs. I knew people were beginning to realize Kieran as the infamous Alpha that people had only spoke of, but had never seen. I watched as heads started to peer upwards at us, Kieran's power evident in his aura as it radiated throughout the room, you couldn't help but stare in awe.

Kieran was nearly breathtaking. I forgot how alluring he could be. His size, power, and looks caused jealous gazes throughout the room, and the slight yet unmistakable scent of envy lingering in the air as the females eyes landed on my mark.

What shocked me most was that most of the looks were coming from mated females. Some wishing their own mate could be as powerful as Kieran, as enticing and intriguing as the man that was on my arm.

I couldn't help but feel proud.

He was mine.
