Chapter 2

Steph's POV

I showed Hayden and Halley around the house and brought them to their room, they are going to be staying in our guest room

Steph: do you girls need any?

Hayden: No thank you I think we are fine

Steph: okay, mine and Lena's room is just down the hall if either of you need anything

Hayden: thank you 

I walked out of the room and once Hayden and Halley thought I was gone they started talking so I stayed and listened to them

Halley: Hayden are we safe here?

Hayden: I'm not sure yet 

Halley: I promise I wont do anything to make them mad

Hayden: Halley listen to me, you have done nothing wrong, what happened with Hank was not your fault

Halley: but I was the one who dropped the bowl and broke it

Hayden: Halley that stuff happens, he didn't want us there so he was trying to find a way to send us away

Halley: but what about the home before that Hayden, when Tom hurt you during the night

Hayden: Halley none of that was your fault please believe me, I don't blame you for anything

Halley: I love you Hayden

Hayden: I love you too Halley

I quickly went to mine and Lena's room and found her sitting on the bed

Lena: are you ok sweetie?

Steph: I don't know those poor girls have been through so much

Lena: Nate said that they have been in foster care most of their lives and haven't stayed in a home longer than 6 months, He said something has always came up with Hayden and the foster father or foster brother

Steph: it sounds a lot like Callie when she first came to live with us

Lena: speaking of Callie, Hayden and Halley have the same last name as Callie and Jude. What if they are their sisters?

Steph: but neither one of them has talked about Hayden or Halley

Lena: they could have thought something else happened to them, It's only 9:00 why don't we call Callie and ask her

Steph: okay

Callie's POV

Marianna and I had just gotten home from grabbing dinner when my phone started ringing

Marianna: who is it?

Callie: Mom

Marianna: answer it

Callie: hello

Steph: Hi Callie did I interrupt you and Mari?

Callie: no we just got home, is every thing ok?

Steph: Well mama and I got a phone call from Bill telling us that one of his co workers had 2 girls aged 14 and 13 that needed a foster home so we agreed to take them

Callie: that's great mom

Steph: Callie the reason why I'm calling you now and not in the morning is because these 2 girls have the last name Jacobs

Callie: what are their first names?

Steph: Hayden and Halley

Callie: Hayden and Halley?
