I'm a professor of writing and an author. I started reading when she was 3 years old, writing when I was 4, and published my first poem at age 16.  I've written articles and essays on a variety of topics, including several texts on writing for middle and high school students. Presently I'm working on a novel inspired by actual events in the foster system.

As Michelle Deerwester-Dalrymple, I write historical romances.
