I've often felt like I have about 10 personalities and have so much fun living inside my head and bringing these 'personalities' to life ;p
Whenever I close my eyes at night, all these characters burst into life and more often than not, I end up getting up and giving life to their adventures before I faint from exhaustion for the night.
The Bag came to me so intensely just as I was about to fall asleep one night, so up I was, clicking on my iphone notes and entering into my dreamworld with my eyes wide open.
I've written most of my upcoming novel "Reason" in my iphone notes, of which I have about 700 individual notes on!
If there was one lesson I learned from The Bag, it's that we learn our love language from what we soaked in as little kids, watching our parents and how they interrelated. We absorbed bits of them, their dysfunctions and their quirks, storing it away in our subconscious minds. As an adult, when we fall in love, we tend to discover these traits (or someone else tells us) and we suddenly view ourselves and are partners differently, like a large, dangling turnip earring that was placed there by the learned behaviour of our mother, which symbolizes distrust from a cheating husband, which we have stored away until now. We often carry these things unnoticed into adulthood. As a result, we now have been wired with the belief system that love can't be trusted, so after the fluff wears off, we become cocooned in fear.. this is where The Bag was born from..those stories we absorbed as children, re-birthed by our own falling in love experience!
