@chainbrekker @dirtymothh ive genuinely considered writing a full essay on this shit because it's not even that I'm shocked that people are annoyed, I'm just amazed at how many people are upset. so many of those people are probably not at all racist or prejudiced but it's really shown me how implicit bias works and its so weird. like I don't even care if rapunzel is desi or not but I don't understand what the problem with her being desi is like who cares?? she's a fantasy character based on multiple different stories, like what's the big deal. I hope avantika isn't cast because people would be awful to her but i don't think people should be freaking out about the skin color of a fictional character
