"My silence is another word for my pain"

                                                     -Unknown

I know I've been a disappointment,
I've never really been the child you needed,
The child you deserved,
And I'm sorry,
I'm sorry you had to deal with my insecurities,
Whether its me talking too much,
Laughing at the most inappropriate times.

I'm sorry you couldn't see that I was sad,
I'm sorry I wasn't the perfect child,
The child with manners,
The child who did everything right,
I'm sorry you had to deal with me,
I'm sorry you had to say all those horrible things to me.

You made me insecure,
Made me feel like I was wrong,
But I always was,
I needed you to love me,
But all I did was make you guys mad and disappointed,
I would be disappointed in me too.

And I'm so sorry I was born,
I came into the picture and destroyed your lives,
I wish I could just disappear like I've never existed,
Maybe then you would be happy.

It never mattered what you did or said,
You are still my parents,
And I love you regardless of everything,
I'm so sorry I was such an ungrateful child,
I wish things were different between us,
But it is what it is.
