Kazuha's gaze lingered on his phone, the time ticking away in his Classical literature seminar. Restlessness gnawed at him as he found it hard to concentrate. Despite being only 30 minutes into the class, thoughts of Scara's well-being occupied his mind.
Anxiety tugged at him – was Scara home yet? The desire to check on his partner outweighed the academic setting, making the classical literature seminar seem distant and unimportant compared to the concern for someone he deeply cared about.
In the dimly lit bar, Lumine, Aether, Heizou, and Scara found themselves in an unconventional yet cozy setting for a heart-to-heart conversation about relationships. Aether appeared slightly gloomy, but Scara attributed it to tiredness, not delving deeper into the possible complexities beneath the surface.
As the conversation flowed, Heizou, in a good-natured gesture, offered to foot the bill for everything. Scara and Lumine exchanged mischievous glances, silently agreeing to make it a challenge to drain Heizou's wallet.
"Challenge accepted," Scara grinned, raising his glass. Lumine joined in, toasting to the impromptu competition. Heizou chuckled, clearly amused by the turn of events.
"Let's see how deep your pockets go, Heizou," Lumine teased, a playful gleam in her eyes. The bar atmosphere buzzed with laughter and camaraderie as they continued their unconventional but spirited evening.
Amidst the laughter and lively chatter, Heizou steered the conversation towards a more intimate topic, prompting a shift in the atmosphere. Heizou's words hung in the air, and the flush on everyone's faces, particularly Aether's, became more noticeable.
"You know," Heizou began with a sly smile, "relationships can get pretty steamy too. Any spicy stories, anyone?"
Aether, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks, looked away, a shy smile playing on his lips. Scara, catching onto the moment, couldn't resist teasing him. "Aether, you seem to be blushing quite a bit there. Anything you want to share with the group?"
