Orang Minyak or the Oily Man is a Malaysian urban legend. Orang (oily) Minyak (people) usually described as an oily man, but sometimes described as a woman.
The Orang Minyak is an oily supernatural entity. It is said to prowl roads and streets at night, looking for its next victims. Especially so that walk around outside late after midnight.
It is a demonic creature that possesses the living. Those who are possessed are said to act out irrationally and angrily.
In folklore the Orang Minyak often murder family and friends and then kill themselves.
Also after this possession oil is often found on the victims clothes, skin and if the house was broken into you see oily footprints.
Ways to prevent this entity are using blessed water (on your clothes, bottles in rooms) and religious mantras because Orang Minyaks are demons.
