Her silhouette dances in the corner of my mind
a ghostly reminder
of what once was
break me into pieces as i lay in the dark
let me show you
how i'll still love your apparition
with every piece
that you so recklessly broke and left behind
i was drawn to you
like the moon's dark side is to the sun's light
yet
like the moon
my longing was unrequited
and my call for love remained unanswered.
