Imagine comforting Fili after a nightmare

~~~Fili's P.O.V.~~~
~~~~~~Nightmare~~~~~~
I watched as my wife turned away from me her (H/L) (H/C) hair swaying behind her as I watched her pick up a dagger and slice off her courting braid.

When she did that I felt like my world came crashing down around me and like my heart was just ripped out of my chest.

"(Y-Y/N)..." I croaked out as she took off her promise ring and threw it across the room like it was nothing.

"You where never worthy of my love. I can't believe how naive the prince of Erebor is." She spoke her voice dripping with venom and her words made me collapse onto my knees like a weak child as tears streamed down my face.

I watched as she looked back at me with a hateful gaze then looked forward and started walking away.

Her long red silk dress trailing behind her as she slammed the door shut in my face.

I woke up and shot up almost as fast as an arrow. I was sweating and my hair was sticking to my forehead and neck my breathing rigid and my heart was racing a mile a minute.

I looked to my left and saw my wife there. Her courting braid was still there in her (H/L) (H/C) hair. Her promise ring hugging her finger and her breathing was even as she smiled in her sleep. "Fili..." she mumbled making my heart skip a beat. "Wait for me...I'm not...that fast." She said softly.

Then her expression turned sour and she slowly woke up to see me looking at her.

~~~~~Dream~~~~~~

I watched as Fili ran in front of me calling me to catch up. "Fili Wait! I'm not that fast!" I called back making him only chuckle.

I finally caught up to him where he stood at a cliff and a beautiful view of the forest was seen. All the different shades of green and the chirping of birds and the sound of bugs. It was beautiful.

That's when I looked at the sky and saw grey clouds rolling in. Then before I knew it, it was pouring down on us and lighting was everywhere.

"Fili!" I tried to call out but the thunder overpowered my voice and then lighting struck in front of me.

I slowly woke up to a panicked Fili looking at me. I sat up and noticed he was in a cold sweat and he was flustered.

"Armalime..." I said softly cupping his cheek. "What is wrong?" I asked gently as he pulled me closer and dug his face into my neck. I wrapped my other arm around his shoulder, side hugging him, pulling him closer to me.

"I had a...nightmare. That you cut your courting braid off. Threw your promise ring, and left me." He whispered softly into my neck.

"Fili you know I would never do that unless it was to save you or just an act to help us escape." I reassured him. "I promise." I added to my sentence.

I lifted his face to meet my eyes and smiled down at him lovingly as I kissed him gently.

He kissed me back and titled his head a little which made me smile a little.

I cupped his face with my hands as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Goodnight, love." I whispered laying back down with Fili hugging me from behind and gently whispering, "Goodnight, love." Into my neck as he dug his face into my neck.

I laid my hand over the arm that was around my waist and backed up into Fili to reassure him I was going to be there when he woke.

And like I promised in my head. I was there when he woke.
