Y/N's POV

I was glaring at Malfoy since he hadn't given back Neville's Remembrall.

"I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find, how about, up a tree?" Malfoy said with a nasty smile.

"Give. It. Back." I said, repeating my words. Everyone else was looking between me and Malfoy.

He smirked.

"Come and get it L/N."

After saying that he hopped on his broom and started flying off. As much as I hated to admit it, he could fly pretty well. I quickly grabbed my broom only to have Hermione grab my arm.

"No!" she shouted. "Madam Hooch told us not to move, you'll get us all into trouble."

I ignored her words and started flying after Malfoy. Everything my dad taught me finally came into practice. I couldn't care less, I was fuming at Malfoy and I needed to help Neville. Flying up, the wind rushed through my H/C hair. I couldn't help but smile to myself as I made myself fly higher. As I did, I heard gasps and screams from people from below and encouraging shouts from Ron and Harry.

I quickly caught up to Malfoy and shouted. "Give it here Malfoy or I'll knock you off your broom!"

"Oh, yeah?" said Malfoy, he was trying to sneer but I could sense that he was feeling worried. I then rushed towards Malfoy as fast as I could. He managed to dodge me just in time.

"Your pathetic goons can't save you here." I smirked. "What are their names again? Dumb and Dumber?"

The truth seemed to of hit Malfoy and he yelled. "Catch it if you can then." before throwing the Remembrall as far as he could.

Out of instinct I turned and started diving towards the falling Remembrall. I was going very fast and had one arm reaching out trying to grab it. I was about a foot from the ground before my hand grasped the ball. I pulled my broom straight and toppled lightly onto the grass.

"Y/N L/N!" I heard someone scream.

I gulped, Professor McGonagall was storming towards me.

"Never, in all my time at Hogwarts," she started, McGonagall was almost speechless with shock, "how dare you, you might have broken your neck."

The cries of defence from my fellow Gryffindors were silenced by her. "L/N, follow me now."

Before I left I saw the triumphant faces of Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. I glared at them as I walked in defeat with McGonagall. I was done for.

I was almost certain I was going to get expelled and my parents would look at me in disappointment. McGonagall didn't say a word to me but instead marched across corridors of the school before finally ending up at a classroom.

"Excuse me, Professor Flitwick, could I borrow Wood for a moment?" McGonagall said after poking her head into a classroom.

Wood? That confused me, was it like some sort of cane that she was going to use? It couldn't be, right? Those punishments were illegal now.

Instead of a cane, a tall, fifth year boy walked out of the classroom.

"You two, follow me." the Professor instructed and I could do nothing but follow her. Getting more and more confused.

We ended up in an empty classroom and after getting Peeves to leave, McGonagall said. "L/N, this is Oliver Wood. Wood, I've found you a seeker."

Wood's expression changed instantly and so did mine, I wasn't getting expelled?

"Are you serious Professor?" Wood said with delight.

"Absolutely," said Professor McGonagall happily, "the boy's a natural. I've never seen anything like it. He caught that thing in his hand after a fifty-foot dive." Professor McGonagall told Wood. "Didn't even scratch himself. Charlie Weasley couldn't have done it."

I just stood there and listened. Wood looked like Christmas came early.

"You know how Quidditch works L/N?" Wood asked.

"You bet I do." I smiled.

McGonagall went on and on about how she was going to ask Dumbledore to bend the first years rule just for me and I couldn't help but smile.

This had to be some sort of record right?

I was Gryffindor's new seeker.
