     I woke up with Tyler's arm around my waist. The memories from last night came flooding into my mind, and I felt butterflies in my stomach.
     Suddenly, someone was banging on the door, waking up Tyler.

     "Boss!" yelled Marcos, "There's been a fight!"

     Tyler smiled and whispered 'good morning' to me. He put a finger to his lips, signaling me to be quiet. He pointed to the restroom so I could go hide.
     I went and heard the door open and Marcos saying that some dudes named Abdiel and Mathew were fighting, but I couldn't hear why.
     I heard Tyler dismiss Marcos and close the door.
     I walked out and asked what happened. Tyler looked at me and hesitated. (Why does everyone do that??)

     "There was a fight.. about you."

     "What?"

     "They were fighting about you.  About who gets you and who won't and whatnot."

     He looked furious. "I'm going to take care of it, don't worry. Just like I took care of the other guys."

     "Tyler, it's okay, there's noth-"

     "No, Jayden, it's too dangerous. The other mafias are probably planning something to get to you. I need to protect you no matter what. Maybe I should just take you back. Back to your mom.."

     "No, Tyler, please," I begged, "My life was hell there I can't-"
I was cut off by people yelling and throwing things down at the base. "What's going on?"

     We ran down and saw the vampires fighting other ones, ones that weren't Tyler's.

     "We're under attack," Tyler said under his breath. "Jayden, run, go back to my room. Do not come out," he said as he got out a blade and ran into the action.

     Uh, no. Sorry, Tyler, but I do my own shit.
     I ran down, the entire place filled with yelling and gunshots. I hid behind some wall, trying to get a better look.
     Suddenly I got spotted by one of the rivals.

     "There he is!" she yelled.

     Ah, crap. I knew this was a bad idea.
     7 or 8 rival vampires started to chase me, and I ran as fast as I could. I didn't know where to go, though. One of them threw something at my head, and hell did that hurt. I got knocked out for a few seconds, but that was more than enough time for them to catch up.
     They had a tight grip, but I struggled and yelled. One was holding a knife, and I got slashed at my side a bit. Not too bad, but it still really hurt.

     "Tyler! Hel-" They covered my mouth, but Ty had already heard.

     He raced to me as fast as he could and started attacking the enemies. It was challenging, but they finally let go and ran out along with their ugly buddies. I guess we won that fight.

     "Jayden, I told you to hide!" Tyler yelled. "And now you're hurt! Why didn't you listen to me?"

     "I just wanted to see the action! No way was I gonna miss out on that!"

     "Next time, you will do as I say. Do you understand?"

     "I-" I started, ready to argue. But then I looked in his eyes, his sharp eyes, and I knew I had to listen. "..yes. I understand." I felt my face flush.

     "Thank goodness it's not that bad." He turned to one of the vampires. "Amanda, clean this up. Have everyone help. Stay. On. Alert. Do you understand?"

     "Yes sir!"

     "Good. Jayden, come with me."

     I followed Tyler back to his room. I sat on the bed while he grabbed some white bandages and rubbing alcohol.

     "Ty, it's not that bad of a cut."

     "I still want to be safe. It could get infected. I'll be gentle." He picked up my shirt to see the slash. I saw him bite his lip at the sight of my blood.

     "Tyler, it's okay, you don't have to."

     "No, I want to take care of you. Please." He looked at me with puppy eyes.

     "Okay."

     He dabbed around the cut with a warm cloth to clean the blood. Then he got a small towel and applied rubbing alcohol and pressed at the wound. It stung, but I knew it would help. He then got the bandages and wrapped them around me, not too tight but not too loose.

     "There. That's my basic knowledge of cleaning wounds. I probably did it all wrong," he laughed.

     "Thank you," I smiled. I knew I was safe, so I decided to take a nap.  Tyler went back to his office.

~~~
     "How're you feeling?" Tyler asked as I woke up and rubbed my eyes.
     "I feel fine," I yawned. "How long have you been here?"
     "Not that long. I came to check on you sometimes. You were asleep for about 2 hours, that's it. Are you sure you're alright?"
     "Yeah, I guess so. I'm just a little spooked. I never thought I'd be considered special to anyone. Let alone a whole mafia." I thought about it a lot when I was trying to take my nap. My cut made it harder to sleep.
     "Oh, Jayden," he whispered, "you're special to me.."
     Then I kissed him like he was the only person in the world. He caressed my hair as I held his cheek. It was the most magical thing I'd ever felt.
     "Tyler.." I whispered between our kiss, "Tyler I want.. Can you.. bite me.."
     He pulled back and looked surprised.
     "Are you sure..?"
     "Hell yeah, it's gonna be so hot. (Who knew I had a biting kink?) It won't turn me, will it?"
     "No, no," he chuckled, "I'd have to kill you to turn you. But don't worry, that will never happen.
     "Okay," I smiled.
     He brought his mouth to my neck and licked until I felt his fangs pierce my skin. It hurt and it felt good, too.
     He only took a little before he pulled back, scared that he might hurt me.
     "Damn, Adler, you don't even realize how hot you are." I kissed him again while he laughed at my comment.
     Then the worst thing happened. My stomach growled.
     I died of embarrassment while Tyler laughed his ass off. "Let's go get you some dinner."
