IT was so much easier the second time round once she knew the way.

Even though she purposefully avoided the lobby by entering through a side entrance, she was surprised to pass the receptionist on the way to the elevators.

She opened her mouth to speak, but feeling much more confident now, Miki intervenes.

"Ms. Davids, since you now know who I am, there should be only one question you could possibly be wanting to ask."

She holds up the bag.

"And the answer to that is grilled salmon! That's what is on our menu for the day." Miki grinned proudly.

A few other staff had given her weird looks as they passed by, curious as to why she was declaring her lunch like it was an award ceremony.

The receptionist looked dumbstruck.

"Bye now!" said Miki cheerily. She kept walking, feeling triumphant, despite there being no real competition anyway.

She almost stopped short when she saw Wooyoung waiting for her a few paces away.

He looked vaguely amused as he watched her approach, and extended a hand to take the bag of food from her.

"At least my coworkers don't have to ask 'what's that smell?' when we open our lunchboxes." he murmured, falling into step beside her.

Miki bowed her head with a groan.

"It was a bit much, wasn't it? Sorry. That was unnecessary."

Wooyoung chuckled. "Actually, I think I wouldn't mind having a reckless wife every now and then."

She looked up at him to find that he was already staring, deep brown eyes peering into hers.

Miki looked away as her cheeks glowed red. "Don't get used to it," she mumbled.

"True," Wooyoung feigned being miserable. "I'm just stuck with a stubborn one, who's always scared to ask for ice-cream and is occasionally an insomniac."

She instantly replaced her shame with indignation. "Me? The stubborn one?"

More staff passed as the Jungs continued their lighthearted banter.

Some still threw a few weird looks their way, but to the average passerby there was nothing unusual.

They were simply an ordinary couple.
