Y/n: well when will we know if it's him?
Jess: we're gonna go to the hospital right now
Javon: okay let's go
Jayla: okay
we drop Daelo off to the neighbours and all get in the car and drive to the hospital, the whole car ride is dead silent, in some ways i really do hope it's him, but i also really hope it's not, i hope Jaden didn't put himself in that situation again.
we arrive and all get out of the car, when we get there, there are 2 police officers waiting for us and they take us inside and to the mental health unit of the hospital, im so scared, i'm walking in between Javon and Jayla and i grab both of their hands
Jayla: it's gonna be okay Y/n
finally we get to the room and there he is, it's Jaden. all hooked up to machines and asleep.
my eyes fill with tears, i can not bare to look at him like this, i turn around and start to walk away. Javon quickly follows behind me and grabs my arm
Javon: i know this is really hard for you, but are you sure you don't wanna go and give him a hug or something
Y/n: no i can't look at him like that.
i sit down in the waiting room chairs and Javon sits down next to me, i lay my head on his shoulder and start to sob. (btw no Y/n and Javon will not get together he's just being comforting) he puts his arm around me and try's to comfort me.
Y/n: do you think he's going to be okay?
Javon: i'm sure he'll be fine Y/n
it's been about 10 minutes, Jessica, Jayla and DJ are still in with Jaden, and Javon and I are in the waiting room, when a nurse comes up to us
Nurse: hi are you Jaden Walton's family?
Javon: yes, is he okay?
Nurse: yes he's going to be absolutely fine!
i immediately feel relieved when she says that
Nurse: he should be waking up soon would you guys like to come and see him?
Javon: Y/n?
Y/n: okay
i say nervously
we get up and slowly walk over to the room he's in, as we walk around the corner to the door i hear his voice "what's happening" every single piece of my heart was so happy when i heard him say that, i start walking faster and into the room, as i walk in i see Jayla and Jessica on one side of his bed and DJ on the other,
Jaden: Y/n
he lifts his head up
DJ: lay back down buddy you need to rest your body
DJ gets out of the chair and sits in a further one so i can sit next to Jaden.
i sit in the chair next to the bed and grab his hand, he's kinda drowsy and sort of half asleep still
Nurse: so he might be a little confused at first as we did have to give him a lot of medication to calm him down. We're not sure what happened but when the police found him he was passed out, there is no sign of alcohol or drugs in his system, there is a possible head injury so he could've hit his head on something and knocked himself out. but when the paramedics brought him in he was clearly in a lot of distress the doctor suspects maybe a manic episode.
Jess: he has bipolar, and up until today we didn't know but he hasn't been taking his medication.
Nurse: yes we were told that by the police. just don't worry too much guys, he's going to be okay, just needs some rest and we're going to get the physiatrist in to issue new medication for him.
Jess: thank you so much
the nurse walks out, we all just sit in silence as Jaden goes in and out of sleep for a while, i hold his hand the whole time, i'm so angry at him but i'm just happy he's okay.
Javon: i'm gonna go to the vending machine, anyone want anything?
Jayla: no thanks
Jess: i'm okay
DJ: get me some chips
Javon: alright, Y/n?
Y/n: i'm alright
Javon: okay
some time goes by and Jaden starts to properly wake up
Jess: hey bud
Jaden: hey
he says still really drowsy, i'm still holding his hand and he slightly squeezes mine
Jayla: you okay?
Jaden: i got a headache
DJ: you've got a concussion, you hit your head on something, the police found you passed out in the park
he just looks around confused
Jess: do you remember anything?
Jaden: the last memory i have is taking to Y/n last night right before i fell asleep
Jess: then Y/n woke up and you were gone
i still haven't said a single word, i have nothing to say, i'm so angry and upset but happy and relieved at the same time
Jaden: i'm so sorry ma
he looks over at me
Y/n: you don't have to apologise i'm just happy your okay.
Jess: come on guys let's let them talk for a bit
everyone walks out and it's just Jaden and I in the room
Jaden: i do have to apologise, what i did was stupid and you shouldn't have to see me like this
Y/n: it was, really stupid. but your not well Jaden, i don't care how fine you think you are, your not. you need to be taking your meds, that's the only thing that's going to stop things like this from happening, you had us all worried sick
Jaden: i know but i didn't know what i was doing, i have no memory of anything
Y/n: i know baby. the psychiatrist is coming to see you later, please promise me you will take these.
Jaden: i promise
Y/n: i love you
Jaden: i love you too
i give him a kiss on the cheek and just sit there for a minute
Y/n: want me to go get everyone?
Jaden: yeah
i slowly let go of his hand and get up and walk out to the waiting room where everyone else is sitting
Y/n: you guys can come back if you want
they all get up and follow me back to the room, after a while of all just sitting and talking a nurse comes in
Nurse: sorry guys visiting hours are almost over
DJ: does he have to stay alone?
Nurse: we can have one person stay with him but that's all the rules allow i'm sorry
Jaden: Y/n?
Y/n: no i think your mom or dad should stay with you
Jessica: you stay Y/n
Y/n: are you sure?
Jessica: 100%, nothing will change for us we'll all just go to bed, your the one who sleeps with him every night, you stay
Jaden: please Y/n
Y/n: okay
after a while everyone has left and it's just Me and Jaden
Y/n: idk where i'm gonna sleep
Jaden: up here with me
Y/n: that's like smaller than a single bed J
Jaden: it's okay we'll just have to cuddle real tight, wait till later thought i don't know if they'll let us
we both laugh
Y/n: want me to go across the road to Mcdonald's?
Jaden: yes please i can not eat hospital food
Y/n: okay what do u want?
Jaden: big mac and fries pleasee
Y/n: okay see u soon
i give him a kiss and walk out, i go get our food then go back over to the hospital, i have to press a button to get let in and lucky it was Jadens nurse so she knew who i was, i go back to his room and he's sitting on his phone
Jaden: ooo who's this cutie in my hospital room
Y/n: just food delivery
we both laugh
Y/n: i'm so happy right now
Jaden: why, your in a hospital *he laughs a little*
Y/n: yeah but i'm in a hospital with you, i didn't know what was gonna happen today, i thought i was gonna lose you, and now i'm sitting here eating mcdonald's in a tiny single bed watching a movie with you, that makes me happy.
Jaden: im seriously so sorry for everything, i just don't know what happens in my head sometimes
Y/n: it's okay baby, we're gonna get you better
Jaden: thank you for sticking by me even through shit like this
Y/n: of course, i'm by your side through anything and everything till the day i die.
Jaden: i love you so much
Y/n: i love you too
we finish our food and lay down in our tiny little bed all cuddled up, Jaden puts netflix on his phone and we watch a movie till we fall asleep
i wake up at 1am to a loud noise over the speakers, "code pink, i repeat code pink"
Jaden: what was that
Y/n: code pink *i say sadly*
Jaden: what's that?
Y/n: medical emergency for a child
it reminded me of hearing the code pink at the hospital when my baby sister died, i felt like i was gonna cry but i held it back, Jadens had enough going on today he doesn't need to deal with me.
Jaden: oh that's sad
Y/n: yeah, goodnight
Jaden: goodnight *he kisses me*
