I'm sitting her nervous as fuck with all these people staring at me and Dave. He pulled me closer to him and whispered in my ear. "relax ma I wont be to long ". I nodded and it started to get quiet.
Black grabbed the microphone and started to talk " Thank you all for coming out tonight. I been planning this expansion for some time now and know its been finished but something wasn't complete something was missing and I did not know what it was until recently ". He said turning around and handing me a small box. I took it and looked at him.
"Dave what is this?" I question him
"I thought I could do this all alone but I couldn't." Dave says turning back to me. "See you guys I met this girl and I just cant explain it, it has only been a couple of days but she stays on my mind constantly. He work is amazing. My mom told me she is hardworking and has been dreaming of her own salon and how difficult it has been for her to find one. "He says looking at me wiping my tears away.
"Dave what are you doing" I say. He grabs my hand and looks at me
"Tonight I want everyone to give a round of applause to the 2nd owner of Black Barbershop and Salon Kayla Williams" He says and the crowd cheers. I pulled him into a hug and started crying.
"Thank you so much but i cant accept all of this" I said and he shook his head
"You are going to accept this you deserve this ight ma and I am not taking no for an answer " he says and I nod. He grab the scissors and looks at me "You ready ma" He says and I nod. I grab his hand and we cut the ribbon together and everyone cheered. We walked inside and I was shook it looks amazing in here

We finish the tour and end up back at the entrance. Dave introduced me to everyone and I noticed that one spot was not filled. "Are we missing some one on my team?'' I say, and Dave smirks
"Ight you guys I have one more announcement, I want everyone to give a round of applause for our head celebrity stylist all the way from Chicago. Arrogant Tae" Dave says. My eyes went big when I see Tae come from the crowd I run up and hug him. "You slick bastard when did you get here" I ask and Tae pointed at me.
"Your man been setting this up since yall met he gave me a call with an offer I cant refuse, now go back to him" he says and I nod and walk back to him and smile. He snakes his arm around my waist and pulls me closer.
"Thank you again Dave" I say
"Your welcome ma" He says and kisses my forehead. "Alright everyone our receptionists are at the front desk if you guys want to schedule any appointments or have any questions." he says. Everyone starts to go there own ways scheduling appointments and talking when I feel a tap on my shoulder and see Ms.Brewster. I smile and hug her.
"Im so proud of you sweetie you parents would be proud' she says and I hug her her tighter.
"Thank you" I say and I see everyone showing there work and the receptionists scheduling appointments and smile.
"Oh this is nice" I hear a voice that annoys the fuck out of me. I turn around and see Bernice and her crew walk in acting out and shit. I lock eyes with Dave and roll my eyes and walk away when I hear her talking.
"And why is she her Dave" Bernice says pointing at me.
"Shes the co-owner and you are going to respect her" Ms.Brewster says
She looks to me comes running to me "you little homewrecker you think its ok to fuck someone whose in a relationship and has a kid you really are pathetic" Bernice says yelling stopping everyone in there tracks.

I say and look at Dave "Now if you excuse me. I have to get home" I say to Bernice. I grab my purse and salon keys before heading outside when my uber notifies be that there here. I wave to everyone and hug Ms. Brewster. "I see you Monday Momma" I say and she nods. I head outside and get in the uber and head home.
