ACT ONE
Azariah Barlowe isseventeen years old and going to be a senior next year
She has stunning glowy tan skin, beautiful brown compelling eyes and absolutely gorgeous curls (which she sometimes straightens)
Her mother and father were divorced but still tried to remain civilized, although they hardly ever did that
Her father, Zion, married off to another right after the divorce which made Azariah lose respect for her father. Her mother tried her hardest and was always there for her daughter
The teen lived on a island like place, called outer banks. There's normally two sides called Pogues and Kooks, but Azariah wasn't really either
Her mother has a decent paying job as a nurse but the money goes towards bills and groceries, and her father is a lawyer but his money doesn't ever go to her
With a house from each of her parents on different sides of the island she didn't really know what she was
But one thing that she did know, is that she was very well known. From being nice and popular in school to hanging at her fathers house almost everyone knew her
And even though everyone knew of her, no one knew what she was going through
Yes her life was going amazing with her ballet skills on point and being the best there, her amazing friend group, great grades in school, but the two things that was going the best?
Well....
She kinda had a thing going on with someone in her friend group, it was 3 boys and 3 girls including her. One boy and her had something going on, for about a year now
They wouldn't call it a relationship but if anyone knew or saw they would say they're dating. But no one knew, especially not their other friends considering they have a "no pogue on pogue macking" rule
So they kept it secret, which was the best decision of their lives
And the other thing is that Azariah works for the Cameron's in the summer which meant the that time was coming up. She watched the youngest daughter Wheezie, who's 11
Her other responsibilities were to just make sure the house wasn't a mess and tidy it up it if it is messy
It was honestly the best paying job any teen could ever ask for
Since the Cameron's were basically the richest in the place Azariah got paid extremely well, with 300 a day and she only had to work from 9-3 on weekdays
Like I said, her life was going amazing, perfect even
That was until she found out the most life changing news
Around the start of April she began to develop bad headaches and became extremely tired along with difficultly to understand and process things. That's when she was quickly diagnosed with a stage 3 brain tumor
Her mother wanted her to start treatment and her doctors had agreed to it, but it rapidly progressed to become stage 4
The doctors told her at the end of May that she only had 3 more months to live. Which meant she only had summer until her life ended
And that meant this had to be the best, craziest, most fun summer of her life
Without anyone knowing about her disease
