Waking up in a room that wasn't familiar to her, Azariah sat up and rubbed her eyes
Immediately she knew this room wasn't hers, but now she had to figure out who's room it really was
Her feet kicked off the covers and walked to the doorway. She didn't have to search for long before she was met with a certain tall blond boy
"Hey." He jumped a little not expecting her to be up. "I uh, brought you some water and fruit. I know it's late but I didn't know if you would hungry."
Nervously placing his hand on the back of his neck Rafe gave a half smile
The girl before him tried to fighter off her smile. She had never seen Rafe be.....kind "Well thank you, truly."
"Uh though, I am wondering why I was just sleeping in your bed...?" Her eyes scanned the boys room and she couldn't figure out why she would be here
And Rafe slightly furrowed his eyebrows "You don't remember? I found you on the side of the street unconscious by the beach."
He eyed her carefully
"No no I remember! Just still a little groggy that's all." She tried to cover up her lie "Uh I do really have to get home before my mom does, what time is it right now?" Taking a breathe she prayed that her mom wasn't home by now
Rafe checked his phone. "Uh it's 10:30." Immediately Azariah dropped her head and sighed, she was late.
"But uh, I spoke to your father. He was uhm, going to work so he said that you should just stay here for the night. I think he told your mom too so.."
The blonde boy handed over the bottle of water and bowl of fruit to the girl
She gratefully took it with a small smile, noticing how rafe was eyeing her to see if she liked the fruit or not. To relieve a little of his nerves she nodded and smiled after eating a cube of dragonfruit
After seeing that Azariah was pleased with what he gave her, Rafe let out a silent exhale. He realized that he's never cared this much about what a girl thinks of him, but time he guesses it different
Her energy was nothing like this, but that intrigued him. He wanted to get to know this girl that was called "a living ray of sunshine"
Which is why he decided to skip out on a party with his friends to look out for Azariah
"Oh and I left some of Sarah's pajamas in my bathroom if you want to change into those. You-you don't have to though." Rafe stuttered a little bit, not wanting to make the barlowe girl uncomfortable
