Wally POV

"Neighbor~" I hummed and knocked on Y/ns door as I happily bounced on my feet, I smiled when the door opened, but my smile dropped when I saw the state of Y/n.
"Oh, neighbor," Her hair was messy and stuck out in many places, she had a baggy shirt and shorts on, as well as one sock.
Her face was flushed as if she ran, Y/n sniffled and roughly scrubbed her face with her arm,
"Wally- Oh shit," Y/n face palmed,
"Today is our picnic, just gimmie a few to get dressed-" Y/n had turned to go inside and I quickly stopped her by reaching out and grabbing her wrist.

"No, Y/n look at you, are you alright?" Y/n tried to shake off my arm as I tried pulling her close to me,
"I-I'm fine, Lemmie just get dressed," I shook my head and brought Y/n into my arms, she finally stopped struggling, her body was cold, I put my hand against her forehead and she was burning up.

"Oh neighbor, you've got a fever!" Y/n groaned and shook her head as she pushed me away,
"No, I'm fine! Let's go on our picnic," I shook my head and guided her to her couch,
"No neighbor, you are going to get some rest," Y/n grumbled as she plopped onto the couch, I smiled at how she seemed to fall asleep instantly.

"Now, you sit there, I'll be back with a cold towel and some soup." Y/n gave a grumble and I laughed as I made my way to her kitchen to make her some soup.

Y/n POV

"Neighbor~" I grumbled and turned away,
"Neighbor~ I've got your soup~" I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I yawned,
"Soup?" I hummed and smiled as Wally shook his head, and set down a food tray with the hot soup, and a few crackers on the side. I smiled as I inhaled the scent of the soup and crackers, I looked up to ask for a spoon just to see Wally holding one out with a smile.

"Thanks, Wally," I took the spoon and my stomach began to growl and I began eating. I was blowing on a spoonful of soup when Wally's hands lifted my chin, I stared at him in confusion, and with his other hand he felt my forehead,

"Still warm, how was your nap~," Wally asked sitting on the edge of the bed, I did a quick double-take of my surroundings and realized I was laying in my bed.
"Good," I blew on another spoonful of soup,
"Not as good as this soup though." Wally gave a chuckle and I smiled before sighing.

"What's the matter, neighbor?" Wally asked tilting his head to the side, I shook my head and looked down at my bowl of soup and watched the ripples as I stirred my spoon,
"I'm sorry about our picnic," Wally shook his head and smiled.

"Don't worry about it neighbor~ After all, I quite like taking care of you in bed-" As it left his mouth he froze and his face turned red as he started to stutter,
"Wait- N-not like that-" Wally continued to stutter and trip over his words and I couldn't help but let out a little giggle. I leaned over and laid my hand on top of his,
"I know what you meant silly." His face was still red and I smiled as he relaxed.

It was silent other than the occasional crunch of a cracker, when I had finished my soup Wally took the tray back to the kitchen and was back with a glass of water.
"Here you go, neighbor." He smiled and held out the glass, I took it and took a sip, and looked back to Wally.

"Hmm? Do you need something neighbor?" He asked a sweet smile on his lips, I nodded and Wally waited for me to answer,
"Neighbor?" He gave me a confused look and I patted the spot next to me,
"Oh! You want me to sit next to you?" I nodded and he smiled, he walked around and sat down on the bed next to me, and I continued to stare at him.

"What? Not close enough for you?" He asked, again I nodded and he let out a laugh as he scooted closer, I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder and held his hand,
"Thank you for taking care of me Wally." I closed my eyes and felt myself start to drift off to sleep, I felt Wally wrap his arm around me and bring me closer.

"Of course darling, I love you~" I didn't hear the last of his sentence as I drifted off to sleep in his arms.
