Today's the day that Madison's supposed to go watch the Barbie movie with Javon today. And she has been freaking out all day.
It's not even a date but all she wants to do is scream and pull her hair out. She can't even remember the last time she's been this stressed to pick out an outfit.
"Madison, can you-" Lilly starts while opening Madison's door and seeing her sister sitting on the floor with her shirt halfway on and her pants that are like 4 sizes too big. "Oh my gosh," Lilly says while looking at the older girl in shock.
"What, is there-" Simone starts while opening the door more and seeing what Lilly's looking at. "Oh my gosh," Simone says before walking over to the older girl.
"This is an atrocity," Lilly says while Simone helps the older girl stand up. "Why are you wearing a pastel pink shirt with neon green pants, Madison" Lilly laughs while Simone just scans over Madison's outfit.
"Lilly, leave me alone" Madison whines while looking at her sister who literally has tears forming in her eyes from laughing. "I'm sorry, this is, this is gold" Lilly continues to laugh causing Simone to join in too.
"I haven't been this stressed in so long," Madison says while Simone goes through her closet. "Yeah, 'cause you're boring and you don't go out," Simone says and Lilly loses it and falls on the ground laughing.
Madison just ignores the shade as Simone hands her a pair of jeans and a cropped long-sleeved shirt. "Put this on and I'll have shoes by the time you're done," Simone says and Madison just takes the clothes and walks out of the room and into her bathroom.
Almost immediately after Madison closes the bathroom door she hears her sister and Simone laughing at her. And she has to listen to them the whole time she's getting dressed.
The outfit that Simone put together isn't bad at all Madison actually fucks with it.
"This is gold." She says while walking out of the bathroom only slightly less stressed than she was 5 minutes ago.
"Yeah, you look good," Lilly says while Simone just checks out her 'artwork'. "You can just wear those white Converse right there, that'd be good," Lilly says and so Madison puts them on and then looks at herself in the mirror once more.
"I look good"
Before Lilly or Simone can agree or make any snarky comments, Madison's phone starts to ring. "It's Wanna" Lilly says after picking up the phone and seeing the contact name.
Madison doesn't get any words out before Lilly answers the phone. "Hey, Wanna," the younger girl says while Simone helps Madison brush her hair.
"Lilly ?? What's goin' on, how ya been ?" Javon says to the young girl and Madison catches herself smiling at just the sound of his voice.
"I've been good, how are you," Lilly says while walking over to Madison's bed and sitting down. "I'm great, boxings good and I'm just living, y'know?" Javon says and Lilly just nods.
"Yeah I get...wait- are you here," Lilly asks and Madison and Simone both look over to Lilly who's getting off of the bed. "Yeah, I've been knocking for a good 5 minutes," Wanna says, and all 3 of the girl's eyes widen.
"Sorry, here I come, Wanna" Lilly says before hanging up and putting the phone on the dresser. "I'll get it, wrap this up," Lilly says before exiting the room and going to answer the door.
While Lillian gets the door Simone and Madison just push all of the clothes in the closet and then sit on the floor together and 'act natural'
Madison's nervousness came back the second Lilly asked if he was outside. "You're fine Madison, it's not a date just you seeing if you have feelings for this guy," Simone says while looking at the girl who's taking deep breaths.
Madison turns and looks at the curly-headed girl while biting the inside of her lip. "But, what if I do end up liking him ?" Madison questions and Simone just shrugs.
"Let's just see if you do first," Simone says even though it's clear to her that Madison has some kind of feelings.
The way she smiled when he spoke or how her eyes lit up when she knew it was him calling but the way she's on the verge of losing just because they're gonna go hang out makes it all too clear to Simone.
"Yeah, no, I personally prefer Dunkin'," Simone says and Madison just goes along with it as Lilly and Javon walk into her room.
"What's up Simone," Javon says and Simone just waves at the boy. "Hey, Javon," she says while getting up and walking off with Lilly and leaving the 2 of them in Madison's room.
"Hey," Javon says while sitting down next to Madison. "Hey, Javon," Madison says while looking at him as she lays her head on the bed.
"You look good," Madison says after looking the boy up and down. Wanna just rolls his eyes and looks away from the girl to hide the light shade of pink on his cheeks.
"Thank you, now are we going, or what ?" He says while getting up and holding a hand out for her. Madison takes his hand and then they leave the room.
"So did you ace those tests ?" Javon asks while they walk down the stairs together. "Fuck no," Madison says while shaking head no.
"Well...I did good on the Spanish test but that's all" Madison says while they get to the front door. "How bad ?" Javon asks and Madison shrugs.
"Summer schools looking pretty good but, hold on" is all Madison says before walking over to the kitchen where Lilly and Simone are baking something.
"Don't burn the house down...but if you do call me" Madison says while Lilly cracks an egg and Simone mixes everything together. "We're 14 not 8," Lilly says making Simone laugh.
"Have fun" Simone says while raising her eyebrows up and down as Madison walks off. "Don't have her out too long !" Lilly calls out.
