lando is having fun.
they're in a vip section and he's been jamming out to taylor swifts set. she goes off stage and the giant screen on stage pops up with a summer scene with guys and surfboards.
he doesn't recognize the song, all he knows is that absolutely everyone in the crowd goes insane. and then the smaller area below the screen opens and someone walks out singing.
"i can't relate to desperation, my give a fucks are on vacation"
but he does recognize that voice. and she looks... stunning. she's in a gorgeous outfit and lando realizes that this must be the song she'd been working on, back when they used to talk.
he wonders if it's about him or if it's about his newly despised soccer player when he hears the lyrics,
"too bad your ex don't do it for ya, walked in and dreams came trued it for ya"
that one slings him into a deeper state of dispair, desperately hoping she's not talking about felix and his ex and how isabelle is everything for him.
he sees charles smug smile and realizes that they all knew that she was performing tonight. as much as he thought that his friends might side with him, he forgot how much they liked isabelle.
the song is good. like really good. if he wasn't stuck in his current situation he knew that normally he'd be adding this to all of his playlists.
she sings 'feather' next, and even though he knows it's not about him, he can't help but feel it being directed towards him. he gets it though.
she eventually ends her set, somebody else taking her place, but eventually lando stops keeping track. they get back to the hotels and head up to their respective rooms. he's scrolling on instagram before he goes to bed when he sees two posts.
