I'm back again with another piece for today and I bring you another 3 word challenge piece!
I didn't really focus on finishing these as they're not my main focus, but working on this piece made me realize both how fun, and how challenging these pieces are as I have go find several references to start and finish a piece.
They don't have an older and set design, or colour palette so I have to mess around with that to find something I like. Some will be easier, but most are a struggle -
This piece was based off the words: Lantern; Steampunk; and Ivy/Vines.
I felt like drawing an old, oxidized copper statue was a fun way to incorporate all the themes at the time, as it was more world building than character building!
Because of the oxidization of the copper, I had to experiment with that new colour palette and figure out how to make it look somewhat natural looking, and for a first try, she turned out pretty well!
