"y-you can't" she stuttered.

"what do you mean i can't?" i pouted.

"i can't do this" she shook her head and stood up.

"hannah" i pulled her wrist back.

"why can't you accept that i—" i started in a soft tone.

"i have to go" she slipped from my grip and left.

leaving me alone to sit and think.

after a while i sighed and got up to leave. i walked through the gym and realised how many amazing times we had in here. not just me and hannah, all my friends too.

she went to all of my games. all of my practices. she was always there for me. and i'm just now realising i wasn't there for her like she was for me.

i headed to my car and drove home after texting some people. i have a plan so i invited some people over.

"what's up bro?" johnson asked.

"i have a plan and i need you guys to help" i smiled.

"i haven't seen you this excited in a long time" sammy chuckled.

"so what's good? how can we help?" skate asked.

*a week later*

i was leaving my office at the one building to go run some errands as i got a phone call.

"hey j" i smiled into the phone.

"yeah, i was just heading out"  nodded.

"yeah I got the stuff. do you have the thing?"  i asked.

"cool. no, she's right here" i said.

"alright, see you" i hung up.

"Mr. Gilinsky? I really don't care about about your phone calls but I don't appreciate you talking about me right outside of my office" she came up to me with her hands folded.

"You look great today, Ms. Young" I smiled, being the smartass that I am.

"Why do you do that?" She sighed.

"Do what?" I nodded my eyebrows.

"Sound annoyed when you say my last name" she huffed.

"Because, it doesn't fit you" I simply said.

"And what would? Gilinsky?" She laughed in spite.

"Well Hannah Gilinsky does have a nice ring to it. Don't you think?" I smiled.

"We can't even stay in a relationship. You honestly think we'd get married one day?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Well I do have two sisters" he smirked.

"Oh shut up" she pushed me and laughed.

I started walking away when she caused me to turn around.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"No where important really. Just running some errands" I told her nervously.

"I thought you have people that do that for you" she crossed her arms.

"You know what I'm allowed to do what I want and I have to go" I said sternly and left.

I think she got too use to my presence or something.  No one tells me what to do, except my dad. And I still don't respect him.

That gave me an idea. I forgot to make some lunch plans.

"Jack, don't see you too often" she sat down.

"Aaliyah, nice to see you too" I smiled, straightening my suit.

"Shouldn't you be having your assistant buy you coffee or something?" She asked harshly.

"Listen, I'm not the enemy here. And I know we were never close but I have to ask you for a favor" I said.

"I'm not sleeping with you" she put her hands up.

"No! Ali, this is about Hannah" I sighed.

"What about her?" She knotted her eyebrows.

"I have this dinner that she needs to attend, but she won't go if she knows I'm also attending" I explained.

"So what does this have to do with me?" She asked.

"Well if you can get her dressed formally and to the address I text to you than It'd be gladly appreciated" I gave a cheeky smile.

"Fine, as long as it's work only" she gave in.

"Yes of course, thank you! You're the best" I smiled.

"I know. Text me, and you owe me by the way" she got up and left.

"Jack" I heard as I headed for my car.

"Aaliyah? I thought you left" I knotted my eyebrows.

"I need a favor from you also" she said in a serious tone.

"Ali, you okay?" I held her shoulder, concerned.

"Can we go somewhere else?" She wiped her nose.

"Yeah of course" I pushed her back lightly towards my car.

"Wow" she said in awe.

"What?" I asked as I put my car in park.

"Your house still looks just as beautiful" she smiled.

"Uh thanks, I try" I chuckled as we went inside.

"So what's up?" I grabbed a Gatorade from my fridge.

"Could you talk to Dylan for me?" She asked softly.

"Ali, why would you go back to him? You know what he did to you" I scolded her.

"Jack. You owe me a favor and this is what I want" she said in a monotone.

"Fine, but I'm it's only fair to tell Hannah about what he did" I said sternly.

"No Jack, it has to stay between me and you. Promise?" she demanded.

"Promise" I sighed.
