"Josh- could you step out for me" Ashton's voice spoke calmly as I held myself into Meghan's arms, feeling tears freely slipping down my cheeks.
"I'm so sorry" he continued to repeat as he left the room.
"Okay sunshine, I'm the only guy in here, let's take some deep breaths" Ashton spoke, his hand rubbing my back gently.
Meghan never let me go, she held me close to her, continually whispering that I was okay.
After a moment I sat with Ashton in the bed.
"Sorry- he was just close-" "that's not your fault sunshine, he knew your situation, he should've been more precautious, you just relax" Ashton spoke, his hand running up and down my back.
I wiped my tears, Ashton never stopping rubbing my back and telling me I was okay.
Soon a door opened, making me look, seeing the three familiar guys, just fully suited like Ash and the nurses.
"Why the fuck is her heart rate so high" Michael spoke.
"We had a small incident with a male nurse-" "I requested only female nurses" he shot back
"He's new and the chief demanded he started training today" Ashton finished, making Michael sigh.
"You're okay Vanessa, he's gone, it's only the boys you know in here" michael spoke, making me nod.
Someone approached, bending to be even with me and I didn't know it was Luke until I was looking into his bright blue eyes.
"You got it from here?" Ashton questioned.
"I believe so" Luke smiled through the mask.
"Okay, good luck pretty girl, I'll be comforting your mom"
"Thank you" I breathed out as he left, looking back to Luke.
"No tears" luke spoke, wiping one gently as it slid down my cheek.
"You're perfectly okay, you've never been safer."
Michael soon joined Luke's side, touching my arm gently.
"This is just going into your iv, it's the same thing you got in the hospital room" he spoke, waiting for my nod before he did as said.
"Now, I'm just going to hook tubing up to your iv, it just gives you fluids, it doesn't hurt at all" he informed me, doing as said.
"You okay?" He took a moment, his eyes meeting mine.
I hesitated, so badly wanting to ask if we really had to do this
"I'm fine" I confirmed, nodding.
"Let's just give you a minute for that to kick in." He spoke.
We sat there, the guys telling me about their plans for the night which consisted of comforting me and watching movies.
Soon I felt the familiar but odd feeling, just feeling like I could lean on Luke, wanting to give in to his embrace, but I fought the feeling.
"Okay sunshine, we're going to numb you" Calum's voice said, catching my attention, allowing me to notice that they had moved behind me and I didn't even notice.
"I want you to just put your arms on Luke's shoulders, and just lean into him, just relax and trust him"
I did as said, not hesitating for a second, resting my head against Luke's.
"Okay, you're going to feel some pressure and then a little sting before it all goes numb, just make sure you don't move, okay?" Calum spoke, making me mumble a quick "okay"
I felt the cold feeling of a wipe before hands and hearing some mumbled from Michael and Calum.
I soon felt a very uncomfortable pressure, before an almost unbearable sting, and then it all went away, leaving me squeezing Luke's shirt into my hands, the tears welling for the second time.
"That was absolutely amazing, Vanessa" michael spoke proudly.
"Now it's going to be weird for you, but we're just going to guide you to lay on your side, just move slow" we did as said, Luke intertwining his fingers with my own as I heard a quick "okay, let's get this over with"
"I need a nap" I informed Luke, seeing a smile come through his mask.
"Only about fifteen more minutes"
