MADELINE POV
I headed out after taking finals for my English and Physics class. I had made sure to study so I knew I would get an excellent grade.
I walked out of school with Lisa and suddenly Dylan came over to us.
"Hey" He said awkwardly.
"Hi" I answered being just as awkward. He had confessed his feelings to me yesterday and I hadn't given him an answer yet.
"So I was wondering if you would like to go out and see a movie with me today? There's this new horror film that just came out and I think you would like it."
I wasn't the biggest fan of horror films. I was the biggest scaredy-cat and could never sleep at night if I watched one. But I liked Dylan and maybe giving it a try with him would be nice. After all, I was still upset with Grayson and dating him felt weird.
It felt like I was dating a brother. Although I knew we weren't actually related and deep down I was just afraid of falling in love with him. Maybe if I were to go out with Dylan, I would forget about Grayson.
"Yes of course! I would really like that."
I turned to Lisa and quietly squealed with her. After we composed ourselves she left to her car knowing I planned to go with Dylan. I was glad she was a supportive friend.
