Nat: Hey, guess what😡😡😡?
I quickly texted back:
Me: What?
Nat: Thor has a new idea. I don't like it at all.
Me: What is it?
Nat: You know that research you did? Your trail went cold, right?
Me: Yeah...
Nat: Well, he wants to bring Loki to the tower for a chance to "redeem" himself.
Me: UGH! I wish I hadn't gone back to Kannapolis! North Carolina is great, but if anything happens to you, I'm going to fly over there and kick Loki's arse.
Nat: Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I'm more worried about our new recruit.
Me: Ava? Ava Wilder?
Nat: Yeah. I don't want him to hurt her.
Me: I agree. She's still unstable, right?
Nat: That's why I worry.
Me: I'm sure if he does come back that you'll be fine.
Nat: Thanks for the optimism, Bri.
Me: No problem.
