Zion's fingers twitched at his side

Zion's fingers twitched at his side. He crossed his arms and groused defiantly. "It's sad to assume things that will never happen?" His eyes had illuminated into an azure shade, the color of his lightning. I bet if you look close enough, you would notice a few sparks.

Lust tilted his head, lips stretched into a twisted smile. Zion's defiance amused him. "Don't underestimate me, Skygod."

"He's right," Eros chipped in but Zion only sent a murderous glare his way. It almost seemed like the god of love had been through this predicament and was bored to his mind about it. Hunter stood on the other side of the lake, eyes wide like he was fearful for his brother. Dimitri leaned an elbow on his shoulder and watched the scene unfold with one eyebrow raised.

One thing was certain -- it'll end in a brawl. One I want to avoid. I don't think this cave will survive another lightning attack. Even though Zion and Liam had unspoken words against each other, they managed to get along for a few days without killing themselves.

I forced a deep sigh and called out to Lust. He didn't seem to hear me -- his homicidal eyes were completely focused on Zion, never breaking away. I tried a second time but was ignored like the first. His acknowledgment won't be coming anytime soon. I tried a different tactic;

His greek name.

Lagneía.

The moment those words pushed from my lips, Lust snapped his head towards me. I watched his fury dissipate by a hitch. A low purr vibrated up his throat. As usual, his expression was blank but his eyes told a different story. He liked how I referred to his greek name.
