Part 22 || crazy news

Jay's POV

Mom: "honey this is your brother, Jay"

I just stared at them in shock not a word coming out of my mouth yet my jaw was dropped open

Jay: "y-y/n?!" I came closer to her and looked at her up and down

Y/N: "hi oppa" she smiled innocently which made me confused and I turned to my parents

Jay: "mom dad, a word?" I gestured them outside and they followed. We closed the door and I faced them totally freaked out "ok... WHAT?!"

Dad: "let us explain before your questions"

Mom: "y/n never died, we lied to you that she did so that when she fully recovers she'll be able to marry Jake and Sunghoon will be out of the picture. It will work because she has amnesia and the only thing she remembers are us and nothing about her ice skating, Sunghoon or her friends." unbelievable. Are they serious?! They fucking faked her death?!

Jay: "is she some kind of joke to you that you can just easily fake her death?! Do you know what's been happening to Sunghoon?! Do you know how devastated we were- are- whatever!" I raised my voice at them and they looked at me and sighed

Dad: "son, please, we were hoping you would tell Jake the news but you are forbidden to tell any of your friends ESPECIALLY Sunghoon. If you don't help us wed y/n and Jake we will bring y/n to America and you'll never see her again!" they entered her room leaving me there. What kind of parents do I even have? I entered the room again and see my sister smiling brightly at our parents

Y/N: "oppa!" I put on a smile and approached her

Jay: "hey sis, how you feeling?"

Y/N: "a lot better than before, it's really cramped in this room though"

Jay: "well why don't we go out and get some ice cream later?" She smiled brightly and nodded quickly. My parents left the room and let us catch up. I instantly hugged her tearing up "I missed you so much y/n!"

Y/N: "even if I forgot I had a brother I missed you too" she hugged back and we pulled apart chuckling

Sunghoon's POV

I was lying down on my bed staring at random things but mostly the ceiling. I have no energy of doing anything at all.

Yeji: "Sunghoon oppa! Please come out and eat!" I didn't respond and I heard her footsteps walking away. I sighed turning to my side which made my eyes land on our trophy plus our medals

<flashback>

Host: "thank you to the 2nd place winners. And now, let us announce our champions, the winner of this seasons ice skating competition is..." I honestly didn't care if we won or not. I just never had the same energy after... she- never mind "the winners are... the Ice Prince and the Ice Princess!" The crowd cheered loudly and I was pushed to go up the stage. I thanked the host and received my award "oh it seems like the Ice Princess isn't here" I looked down diagonally away from the host and he just chuckled it off. We bowed and I gave a small speech about the usual stuff and exited the stage with 2 medals and a trophy.

Yaay. Wohoo. Aren't these the things I'm suppose to be saying after we won? *sigh* it's not the same without y/n. We won this together and she's not here to even witness the announcement that we won

I sighed recalling the memory, I turned to the opposite side and my eyes landed on y/n's skates. I bit my lip slowly getting up from my bed and walking groggily to them. I bent down picking them up and stared at them tightening my grip. I teared up and brought her skates to my forehead

Sunghoon: "I miss you y/n" I dropped to my knees crying on her skates. I realized that I might damage it and wiped my tears putting them inside her bag with her costume and decided to give it back to Jay. I got her medal that had the logo of the nationals in front and below in small text 'Ice Prince and Ice Princess' and in the back it read 'Park Sunghoon the Ice Prince and Park Y/N the Ice Princess'

<time skip>

Jay: "oh Sunghoon! Wow! Y-you're here! How are you?" I smiled and hugged my bestfriend

Sunghoon: "still the same, anyway I wanted to return this because- j-just take it" I looked away hoping he won't see my tears but he understood the situation

Jay: "ok, cheer up Sunghoon" he hugged me and I hugged back "some things aren't what they seem" I scrunched my eyebrows but when I was about to ask him he closed the door on my face. I shook off my thoughts and walked back to my house

Jay's POV

I entered y/n's room and placed her ice skating stuff on the corner somewhere on the floor

Y/N: "what's that?"

Jay: "oh it's nothing"

Y/N's POV

Jay walked over to sit beside me but I was really curious on what was inside that bag. I was gonna ask Jay but he looked up form his phone and cut me off

Jay: "sorry I have to go meet a friend I'll be right back ok?" I nodded and he stood up closing the door

I wonder what's inside the bag. I got up from my bed and opened the zipper. Wow! These are ice skates! And this costume looks amazing! I heard some kind of metal drop but I was too distracted to even bother what it was. These skates look amazing! I looked at the size and they were mine! I smiled to myself hoping to ask Jay if I can try them out since they might belong to someone else

Jay's POV

*knock* *knock*

Jake: "Jay! What are you doing here?"

Jay: "we need to talk"
