A/N:
Just a friendly reminder that I love plants but don't know SHIT about gardening!

So if anything I write makes no sense to the gardeners out there PLEASE save me the lecture, the story is already finished and revised. I won't be needing the advice anymore.

Thanks for any constructive criticism tho🤎

The Same Day- Sunday

The way Darren had done things before Efi came, almost gave her a heart attack.

He had already built the sections for the plants depending on what type they were and what season they grew in, but he dug up way more than he was supposed to.

He also planted all the seeds thinking that they'd just grow when the right season comes along...

It's a good think she ordered him the 'gardening for dummies' book.

The only things that we're already grown were a few flowers which he had gotten from Lowes... another heart attack that Efi almost didn't survive.

Betrayal was the only way to explain how she felt. She almost walked out but her weakness are those eyes.

Everything was looking better, all they had to do was add the fertilizer.

"Ok you rake, I'll add the fertilizer" Efi said picking up the big bag

Darren couldn't help but laugh at how she looked with the fertilizer in her hand

"What are you laughing at?"
"The way that the bag is the same size as you"
"Har Har Har" her unamused face made him laugh even harder

"Darren" she whined
"Ok ok" his laughter died down and he started raking

A few minutes in Darren spoke up
"That shit smells like shit" he paused and covered is nose with his gloved hand

"Well thats's because it is shit... cow shit to be exact"
his eyes went wide
"It's what?!"

"I'm happy not know the money I spent on that book won't go to waste" she mumbled
"What?" she waved him off

"Anyways, you'll get used to it, and the smell dies down after a few weeks"
"I hope so"
