He put his hand on the small of my back and lead us to the front of the long club line.
The line went around the street corner so I was surprised that we just passed by the long line of people.
I saw and overheard a group of black women talking about Darren and I.
"She looks so fucking good. I swear when them white guys go for black women, they be getting the prettiest ones" one of them said and the rest of them nodded or hummed in agreement

We finally made it to the front and one of the bouncer looked down at me with his dark brown eyes.
He was tall and bald, his skin was the color of fresh coffee beans. You could see how buff he was with the way that his black shirt and black pants fitted his body. His arms were also covered in tattoos.
A smile took over his face when he looked up at Dar "Yo DK, whatchu doing down here?" he asked as he went to dap Dar up
"You know just stopping by, I haven't been down in a while and my girl over here wanted to go clubbing" the man who I still hadn't learned the name of shifted his gaze to me
"That's your girl? How did your white ass get her?" "What can I say, it's all in the charm" the bouncer and I both playfully rolled our eyes at his cockiness
"Whatever helps you sleep at night baby" I said and they both laughed
"Hey I'm Tyreek by the way" he put his hand out to shake so I shook it "Nice to meet you Tyreek, I'm Efi" I said then let his hand go
"Alright y'all have fun, not too much fun thought" Tyreek said giving Dar a pointed look as he unlatched the rope to let us through
Dar put his hand up in defense "I'm DD today so she'll be having all the fun"
"Oh if that's the case, party until your hearts content girl" I laughed at the way he made his voice higher and Darren just shook his head at his friends antics
"Don't worry I will" I said before the other bouncer opened the door and we were met with 'Wild Thoughts' blasting through the club
Darren intertwined our fingers then lead us to a staircase that was across the club
