Holy shit.

Holy shit.

Holy shit.

Holy shit, shit, SHIT!

"We did not just do that," I said into my palms as the coldness of the rings bit into my skin.

"We fucking did."Alessandro breathed in disbelief as he grabbed my palms away from my face. "Do you regret it?"

His eyes searched mine, happiness overshadowing the worry that threatened to outshine that.

Oh god no.

"Absolutely not." I take his hand in mine, the silver band in his ring finger catching the moonlight.

"I don't regret a damn thing."

"They're all going to kill us if they find out though," I say as he nods his head.

"Well then we'll just have to make sure that they don't." He grins as he brings my knuckles to his lips, pressing a kiss to each knuckle.

"What do you say to letting them stay oblivious to this until the wedding day?"

I nodded my head not needing a second moment to think on it as I smiled uncontrollably.

Today was September 19th...

The day we first meet...

And the day that we eloped.

At first I was shocked when we pulled up the cute little twenty- four hour chapel. Millions of thoughts ran inside my head as I thought about our families reactions to us getting married without them present.

But that all went out the window when I looked at him, all I needed was him in that moment.

All we needed was each other.

We were both taking a blind leap of faith when we walked into that chapel and said our I do's. And honestly, I wouldn't have changed a damn thing about it either.

Plus I would still be getting my actual wedding day next year. Our families would be present for that and we would have one of the best days of our lives confessing our undying love for each other in front of them.

The funny thing about it is that we would be getting married on our actual one year wedding anniversary.

"I can't believe that we just fucking eloped." I still couldn't wrap my mind around the diamond band that sat just under my engagement band.

Alessandro had his ring sitting in his glove compartment, which was oddly convenient if you ask me.

"I can't either," he repeated as we sat in silence reveling in our decision.

After a few minutes of us sitting in stunned silence, I turned to Alessandro and grabbed his hand, gaining his full attention." Let's go home."

Alessandro nodded his head and drove back in the direction that we had come from nearly an hour ago. A permanent smile was plastered on my face as Alessandro and I exchanged glances with each other the entire ride home.
