Never in like a bajillion years did I expect to finish a book in my drafts.. BUT I did it and I don't know how. There are so many more that I want to finish and work on, I'm so excited to share them with you all. All in good time though..
I am very inexperienced and had absolutely no idea what I was doing the entire time I was writing. Like actually no idea. Throughout writing this I suffered writing block so bad that I had to stop making new chapters and rewrite the entire sixteen chapters because they were so horribly done and I needed inspiration or something to fix the dead brain cells.
Seeing the book completely finished and EVERY page written out is literally scary.
It's crazy to me that at the start I thought no one would ever read my book, that I'd never finish it. I started writing when my mental health was at its worst, as a distraction. Now, not only has my writing improved but I think my brain has a little bit too

But to explain myself before you all want to kill me for the ending..
My inspiration for creating this series was in all based on the classic mafia stories you see on this app. Though, there are two types of familial mafia stories. One where the heroine is still young and around the age of five or the ones where she's around sixteen years old.
I wondered if I could take both age groups, both types of stories and create them into one storyline.
So many times I thought about changing the ending, forgetting the second book. I thought about giving it a happy, complete ending but in the end, I stuck with my original idea.
I promise eventually, Val and Ellie will each have their own happy ending. Hopefully you'll stick around long enough to see it.
