2- Rising Above: A Tale of Recovery and Self-Love

Once a girl who was full of life,
Her spirit, bright and bold,
But taunts and words had cut like a knife,
And she had lost her hold.

Her curves and weight, the source of jeers,
The hurtful words had taken toll,
And she had cried so many tears,
Till she had lost her soul.

But she refused to give up the fight,
To let her demons win,
She stood tall and took on the light,
With the strength from deep within.

The road to recovery, a long one indeed,
But she never lost her hope,
Slowly, she found herself freed,
From the darkness that she'd coped.

With every step, she shed her fears,
And every smile, a victory won,
And she found her strength in her tears,
And the love that she'd begun.

Now the girl who once was broken,
Is stronger than before,
Her heart has opened,
To a world that she adores.

She found her voice, she found her power,
She embraced her curves with grace,
She learned to love herself each hour,
And to wear her smile on her face.

For every person who taunted her,
She had found a hundred who loved,
And the girl who was once a blur,
Now shone like the stars above.

Her journey had been a tough one,
But she had found her way,
And now she stands as a shining sun,
For others to find their day.

For those who hurt, for those who fear,
For those who struggle to see,
The girl who fought back is here,
To remind them of their beauty.

So let her story be a lesson,
That no one can bring you down,
For in the end, it's your own confession,
That makes you the talk of the town.

GENRE: INSPIRING/MOTIVATIONAL

I want to share with you the personal journey that inspired this poem. Like the girl in the poem, I too was once taunted and teased for my body size and weight. The hurtful words and cruel jokes cut deep, and I found myself struggling to find my place in a world that seemed to value only a certain body type.

But I refused to give up. I refused to let those words define me. I began to find my strength in the love and support of those who saw beyond my physical appearance and embraced me for who I truly was. Slowly but surely, I began to shed my fears and insecurities and embrace my curves with grace.

This poem is a testament to the power of self-love and the journey towards healing. It is a reminder that no matter what struggles we face, we have the strength within us to overcome them and emerge stronger than before.

I hope that this poem will inspire you to embrace your own unique beauty and to never let anyone bring you down. You are worthy of love and acceptance just as you are, and I believe that with every step towards self-love, you will shine like the stars above.
