14- Crimson Warning

The love of my life bought me flowers,
They were red, but coated in blood.
A chilling sight, that left me dour,
And filled my heart with fear and mud.

As I looked at the petals stained,
I felt a shiver down my spine,
My love's gesture now was drained,
By the crimson hue that did shine.

Were these flowers a warning sign?
Of something darker yet to come?
Was my love's affection just a guise?
To hide the monster he'd become?

I couldn't bear to hold them close,
These once beautiful, now tainted blooms,
For fear that they would overdose,
On the darkness that now looms.

So I left them on the windowsill,
To wither and die in the cold,
A grim reminder, a bitter pill,
Of a love story that's now grown old.

GENRE: DARK

"CRIMSON WARNINGS" is a poem that explores the darker side of love. Sometimes, the love that we believe to be pure and true can be tainted and twisted by darkness. The red flowers in the poem symbolize the passion and love between two people, but also the bloodshed that can occur when things go wrong.

This poem is a reminder that love can be a beautiful thing, but it can also be dangerous. It's important to pay attention to warning signs and not ignore the red flags. Sometimes, the love of our life can turn into something sinister, and it's up to us to recognize it before it's too late.

I hope this poem serves as a cautionary tale for those who may be in tumultuous relationships, and as a reminder that even the most beautiful things can have a dark side.
