Aaradhya ~

The day of my marriage came but the bride was not ready to sacrifice her life without love and her urge to live with a human being with humanity. Although I didn't know his character but still judging him.

I have heard the groom was 7 years older than me . I didn't care about the age but the heart whether it was rotten or not.

I took a glance at the groom from the small window of the dressing room who was entering the palace with a huge troop. I was feeling scared , miserable, unknown and a lot of mixed feelings were surrounding me.

Even that moment finally comes when I no longer belonged to Ginigunj anymore and was given to Ranigunj. But the groom was handsome , looks like a great warrior and a tough person according to others. The situation that was not ever experienced in my life is happening now.

I even couldn't place eye to eye contact with the king of Ranigunj . Next day we started our new journey especially my new journey still not ours because the relationship was still not recognised by us.

The sadness of leaving some countable close ones for life was the most bitter and painful thing in the world. But the little ego didn't let me cry and I left the known place , my memories forever there.

Still now I didn't agree to this new life. My saree was shining in the beautiful yellow light of the sun and the palanquin was also beautifully decorated in a wedding style for the new bride.

Rajan was going forward with his sepoys and troops and my palanquin was following them. The first encounter was not so special to remember but I was really surprised by his horse riding skill. It was no different but still unique. That really attracted my eyes.

We reached our destination and I was totally mesmerized by the decoration of the mahal. All the people sang in a rhythmic tone, ' long live the king , long live the queen ' . A little smile took a place in my face by the cheerful surroundings and the king noticed it by the corner of his eyes. I kept taking a glance at him.

The people of Ginigunj was also good but the people here seems to be more cheerful and happier than Ginigunj. My mother in law welcomed me and Rajan with certain rituals which I was not familiar with before. It's a bit awkward to think but I really didn't know anything about these type of things . But my mother in law was friendly .

The bride and the groom entered their main destination that was their room and that night we can't see each other as per the ritual. I was literally shocked to see how big was the room but my room was it's two-fourth. I was noticing everything in the room when I heard his voice for the first time noticeably.

He addressed me 'Aaradhya' with his soft and friendly voice. I was a bit puzzled and didn't know how to react. I asked him If I had done anything that offended him with an unwanted urge to know , a bit coldness was also there in my voice because I was the person who didn't want to marry him. But he replied with his sweet voice 'no' .

"Do you know my name Aaradhya or you married me even without knowing my name?" He asked."

I didn't answer.

"Okay then I assume you didn't know anything at all."

He told me his name ' Aakarsh Singha Roy '.

His name was really holding pride. He asked me to tell if I was in any kind of difficulty. I shook my head.

The two maids who were appointed to help me arrived in the mean time . They took me to the royal bathroom where the fragrance of the flower was a bit strong. I really felt refreshed. Then I was visiting the some parts of the mahal like a tour. It was a long tour. The most attractive place was the open verandah from where the sky can be seen very clearly. The dusk was near and I hid my face underneath my pallu.

It was a bit hectic to walk like that in the stairs and I was tired also. I was nearly tripping off when my hand was held by the tough hand of Rajan suddenly and my pallu was going to open. I hurriedly handled my pallu and apologized for my mistake and told him not to come near me for this night.

He only said to take care and then walked down.

I reached my room but suddenly realised that it's his room. Then how could I stay in that room for that night? Meanwhile he entered the room and my mouth escaped a slow scream as he shouldn't be here.

He told me to relax and to stay in that room .

" Tomorrow there will be a room appointed only for you and you can rest in that room only, from tomorrow. But for today you can rest here. Do not mind the rituals. Nobody will be able to know that I was here. If any arrangement you want to change there please inform your personal maid and the change will be made immediately." His voice was cold yet a little bit soft.

I was then down with my thoughts. My name from his mouth really felt sweet. He was somehow known but a lot unknown. I don't know from where that thought come from but I really want to explore his mind. I want to know him even if he is distant from me. I hope arrival of him in this room would remain unknown to others. If I am sleeping in his room then where he should be living today. As a king he shouldn't be leaving. Oh no I made a big mistake. I should be the one to live in another room.
