I wake up in a dream, it has to be. Either that, or I'm dead. I don't think death would be like this though.

I'm standing in my room at Michael's pack house for the rogues. It was the same as I left it. All except for the boy sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Gage?" I whisper, not believing what I see.

I watch as his head snaps toward mine. His eyes flood with relief but he still takes slow steps to me, as if I will disappear at any moment.

He stands right in front of me and the urge to feel his touch is so overwhelming I almost throw myself at him but his hand find its way to my cheek.

I guess we are taking things slow. Not his type. Or mine.

I close my eyes at the comfort I feel when he runs his thumb along the side of my face. Sparks of fire wash over me and I relish in it.

Part of my brain tells me not to even get close to him for when we have to let go will be to torturous. But the other half says life is to sort to worry about your feelings and do what you have to. So I do. I smash my lips to his.
