Paige

"Aw man!" The girl says staring at herself covered in alcohol.
"Shit, I'm so sorry!" I say picking up the drink.
She's now trying to wipe the stain off with her hands which only makes it worse.
"It's ok, don't worry about it." She says still looking at the dress.
She quickly gives up and looks up to me.
"Paige Bueckers?" The girl asks.
Her voice sounds high pitched, and she's slurring her words a bit.
I could tell she's somewhat drunk.
"Yeah." I reply not knowing how she knows me.
A smile forms on her face.
"Oh my gosh! My friend always talks about you... well she used to. Like how you ghosted her out of no where and—" She says as I cut her off.
"I'm sorry, who's your friend?" I ask looking confused.
I'm not sure if the girl really has a friend who knows me, or if she's just so drunk she's making things up.
But either way I am confused from what she was saying.
"Becca!" She answers confidently.
Becca.
The girl had said I ghosted her friend out of no where, but anyone would understand why.
She clearly has a thing with Jadon, and I had no place in that.
"Oh, I'm not sure I know who that is." I completely lie to the friend.
Her face drops as she nods her head understanding.
I smile to the girl as I turn to look for Ice and KK.
I found them still at the bar.
"What's taking so long?" I ask the two.
"They're out of Nika's favorite drink, and we said we'd get her it!" Ice says.
"I'm telling you, she's too drunk to taste the difference." KK adds in annoyance.
"Oh no, she always tells the difference." I say quickly interrupting.
I know this from past situations I'm not sure the two want to experience.
"KK, whose party is this? The weirdest thing just happened." I say facing KK.
"It's Becca Vyens 22 birthday, she's like the captain—"
"KK! You brought me to Becca Vyens birthday party?!" I say looking at her angry.
The girl now looks confused to what she did.
"Yes... why?"
I roll my eyes and take a drink out of Ice's hand.
"Whatever." I say waking away while downing the drink.

Becca

The lights are flashing, the musics pounding in my head, and my legs are in pain from all the dancing I've been doing.
"Hey I got you another drink!" Jadon says walking up to me with two red solo cups.
I shake my head 'no' and I push his hand away.
"I've had way too much to drink tonight."
This makes the boy instantly frown.
"Come on!" He says egging me on.
I again shake my head.
"Sorry." I add.
Jadon takes a gulp of his drink and then looks at me.
"Didn't know you were lame like that." He says before walking away.
I was now left in the middle of my birthday party, filled with people I didn't even know.
The amount of drinks I've had starts to catch up to me.
I am pretty much a lightweight, but I don't embrace it.
I always end up pushing my limits.
But Jadon has been pushing me all night to drink.
I've at least had 7 drinks.

I try to push my way through the crowd of people.
I make my way to a hallway, where I catch my breath.
The world around me felt like it was spinning, and I couldn't seem to stand without falling.
I kept looking around but I only saw strangers.
"Excuse me—" I try saying to a girl who walks by me.
My weight drops to the floor, and I feel as if I can't get up.
I try to lift myself.
My body feels like it's being pulled to the ground.
Panic strikes me as I'm sweating and struggling to move.
Everything around me feels overwhelming and blurry.
Until I feel warmth grab me.
Someone pulls me in close, calming me instantly.

Paige

"It's okay, just breathe." I whisper to the very drunk girl.
I wrap my arm around her as I pick her up.
"Don't worry."
I bring her to the bathroom which isn't as loud and the lights aren't flashing.
I can feel her breathing slow down a slight bit.
"It's me, Paige." I say quietly making sure she knows who I am.
The girl nods at my words.
I bring her level to the toilet and I hold her hair back.

I wipe the vomit off her face.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
We are both sitting on the public bathroom floor.
Instead of responding, she just leans her head on my shoulder.
"Thank you." The girl says letting out a shaky breath.
