Chapter Six

Chapter Six : What's Yours?

~ Alexander's P.O.V~

Me and my wolf growled. No one was going to kill my mate.

" Not the time wolfie " The boy Nick hissed at me.
" Leave him " Laurin snapped.
" And why should we spare a wolf!? We are the WOLF SLAYERS after all " Nick yelled.
" Try and you're dead " My mate hissed.
" Fight me girly " Nick laughed.
" Guys don't! You know what happened last time! " The girl Abigail said.
" Yeah come on guys " The other boy Darrick agreed.
" I would have won! " Laurin and Nick said at the same time.
" No you wouldn't! " Laurin and Nick yelled at each other.
" Just drop it! " Abigail yelled.
" Drop it before you both end up in the hospital again! " Darrick yelled.
" For now " Laurin mumbled.
" We still have a mission " Nick mumbled.
" We are NOT completing that mission! " Laurin yelled at Nick.
" WHY NOT?! WHY THE HELL DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT THE STUPID MUTT?! " Nick yelled.
" CAUSE HE'S MY MATE! " Laurin yelled back.

Then everyone went silent.

" Really? " Abigail asked after a few moments.
" Yeah " Laurin whispered.
" Sorry then. I get why you care now " Nick said.
" It's ok, next time it's on though " My mate laughed.
" I'll still beat you " Nick joked.
" In your dreams " Laurin said.

Then they all looked at me.

" I'll take you guys in with my pack " I offered.
" I'm in " Abigail and Darrick agreed.
" Whatever " Nick mumbled.
" Let's go! " Laurin smiled.

I shifted and we all ran back to the pack house.

" Leave them " I mind linked my pack members.
" Are they staying? " Someone asked.
" Yes. We will be helping them out " I replied.
" Yes Alpha " Everyone said.

I walked beside Laurin and put my arm around her. She looked up and smiled at me.

~ Laurin's P.O.V~

" Aww cute " I head Abigail say.

I smiled and looked down.

" Hey Al--- Mine "

I looked and saw a girl looking at Nick. In a flash Nick had pulled the girl into a hug.

" Aww " Me and Abigail said.
" Finally " Darrick yelled.
" You hurt her and you're dead " Alex growled.
" Alex! " The girl yelled.
" What? I am your brother after all " Alex defended himself.

Oh! So the girl was Alex's sister.

" Have fun with him " I said to the girl jokingly.
" He's a handful " Abigail added.

We all laughed.

" I'm Faith by the way " The girl introduced herself.
" I'm Laurin " I smiled at her.
" I'm Abigail and he's Darrick " Abigail said as she pointed to herself and Darrick.
" I'm Nick " Nick added.

We all walked inside the pack house. Me and Alex walked upstairs to our room, Nick and Faith sat and watched television in the living room and Abigail and Darrick went to raid the kitchen.

" Looks like my sisters got a mate " Alex said as we sat down on his bed.
" And she's stuck with Nick " I said with a smile.
" Still don't like him " Alex mumbled.
" He's actually a nice and caring guy. He's just got a bad past like the rest of us " I explained.
" What's yours? " He asked.
" What? " I said confused.
" Your past " He said.

Oh.

" Well, when I was seven my family was playing around in our houses backyard. We were all laughing and having a good time. Then suddenly these wolves came out of no where and attacked. My parents tried to protect me and older brother but they died in the process. My brother ended up getting separated from me. A few weeks later I found my brothers dead body in the woods. I went back to our old house and found my parents bodies as well. From that day I trained and became a Wolf Slayer. The King had recruited me and a few others for the job. After I turned eighteen the King gathered us all up to meet for the first time and we all instantly became friends. Then from there we went around killing packs " I explained.

I didn't realize I had been crying until I felt a drop of water hit my hand. Alex instantly pulled me into a hug. After a few minutes I sniffled and stopped crying.

" I'm so sorry " Alex said.

I nodded.

" Let's get to sleep " Alex suggested.

I lied down and Alex lied down next to me. He pulled the covers over us. I felt his arm go around my waist and him pull me closer.

" I love you " was the last thing I heard before falling asleep.
