Jax hugged me tightly. I felt his abs through his shirt.
I sighed in comfort.
"I love you." He whispered.
"I love-" Suddenly, darkness consumed me.
Jax's POV
Scarlett was about to say it back when suddenly, she passed out in my arms.
She close her eyes and I started to shake her awake.
She wasn't responding.
I picked her up bridal style and rushed cher to the doctor.
The pack followed me as I ran to the doctor.
The doctor was sitting down when I burst open the door.
"Doc! Scarlett suddenly just passed out just now. What happened to her?!"
"C-calm down Alpha. Put her on the bed."
I placed her gently on the bed.
"Alpha, I gonna need you to step out of the door."
I growled at him.
"I am not leaving my mate." I growled.
He sighed and started examining her.
*1 hour later*
"So?!" I asked impatiently.
"Luna is just resting. It seems she has taking quite a toll on her body. She has been using too much energy and has exceeded her limit. All she needs is rest. But when she wakes up, she has to stay in bed for about a week or so to be completely healed. Her wolf will deal with the rest." he said.
"Thanks Doc."
"Oh, she might be asleep for about a month."
"What?!"
"Like I said, she has exceeded her maximum. She needs a lot of rest."
"Fine." I mumbled.
"If nothing's the matter, I'll head home first. See you tomorrow Alpha."
And he picked up his bag and left.
I looked at Scarlett who was lying beautifully on the bed.
"Why did you exceed your limit? Why must you leave when I just got you back?"
I turned and opened the door.
I saw the entire pack bowing down.
"What are you doing?"
"With all due respect, we would like to be informed on our luna's condition. " They said.
I shook my head.
"Stand up." I commanded.
All stood up.
"There is no reason for you to bow like that. It's reasonable for you to worry about your luna. She's fine. She just needs rest."
I heard many sighs.
"Everyone can take the rest of the day off. Report to your respective venues tomorrow morning. Dismiss."
"Yes alpha." And they left.
Only Amelia stayed behind.
"Can i see her?"
"Go ahead. I'm going to bed." I sighed.
"Hey. She'll be fine."
"I just got her back. I can't lose her again. She's been enough pressure."
