I knocked a couple of times before a tall figure appeared
"Can I help you?" He said in a deep voice making me bite my lip
"Umm is essence or nick here I'm their older sister Aryanna," I said
"Wait, you Ary deadass," He said
I looked at him confused, "Do I know you" I said
" remember, me you and essence used to be like best friends," He said
My eyes widened "Damn josh I ain't even recognize yo ass" I said
He chuckled and let me in I saw nick on the couch munching loud as hell on chips
I quietly went by his ear "Nick" I whispered
"AHHH" He yelled and jumped up
"wtf You almost made me drop my potato ch-"
"Hey little bro," I said while smiling
He jumped on me
"Damn girl I thought you died you ain't never called text anything," He said making me laugh
"College is a lot of work but I'm here now," I said
Right when he was about to say something essence came in
"Nick why tf you always yelling damn," She said
Once she saw me she froze
"Ary," She said
And ran to me,
"omg I missed you so fucking much," She said
I saw that there were tears in her eyes "Aww essence don't cry" I said
She wiped her tears
"You gotta fill me in with all college drama," She said
"Bipolar ass how you go from crying to asking bout drama," Josh said
Essence sucked her teeth," shut yo ass up cause you acting all tough until you gotta leave then wanna be like a baby I don't wanna go"Essence said
I almost choked "Wait, baby," I said
Essence blushed "Uh yeah I probably should have told you that me and josh recently started dating," She said
I felt let down a little but I ignored the feeling and smiled at my little sister
"Im so happy that you're happy," I said
She hugged me again and I kissed her forehead
"Love you, little sis," I said
"I love you too"
Nick sucked his teeth "Aight enough with the sappy shit lets get high" He said
Me and essence laughed
"Imma be upstairs," Josh said in a painful tone
I watched as his whole expression change from happiness to hurt
"Is he ok?" I asked Essence
"His siblings recently got taken away from him so he has been down for the past week," She said
"Im gonna go see if he's ok," I said
She nodded and turned her attention back on the tv
I made my way upstairs to essence room where I saw him laying down with headphones in
I sat on the end of the bed making him take his earbuds out
"Hey I just wanted to check on you essence told me what happens with your siblings," I said
"Yeah It's just hard not having them they all I got and knowing that I can't do nothing to get them back hurts a lot," He said
"Listen I know we barely know each other anymore, but I can tell that your siblings mean a lot to you and the best thing you can do is pray and even tho it may seem like god isn't listening he is and soon he will answer your prayer"
He looked at me for a while before quickly snapping out his gaze
"Uhmm I'm gonna take a shower ill be down with y'all in a little while," He said nervously
I nodded and left his room I tried holding my smile in but I eventually gave up...
I munched on the bag of takis as I watched my favorite show
I wiped the tears from my eyes when I saw josh come into the room
''you good'' He said in a sincere tone
I chuckled ''I'm fine just watching a show and my emotional ass crying for no reason''
he laughed and sat beside me on the bed ''so what is this sad show called?"He said
''vampire diaries and every male in his show is fine as hell'' I said
he laughed '' I wanted to thank you for earlier you really got through to me which not a lot of people can do'' He said
I smiled ''no problem I wouldn't want one of my best friends to ever be sad'' I said
He smiled at me before getting off the bed
"Imma head out before you sister end up killing me," He said
I nodded and sighed once he left, I'm falling for my sister's boyfriend and I feel extremely bad about it...

"Im Hungryyyy" I slurred as my sister dragged me upstairs
When we got up to her room Nick and just we're on the bed
"Oooh are we getting high," I said
Josh laughed "She drunk ain't she"
Essence nodded
"Ayy show me how to use a fake id," Nick said
Essence smacked him upside his head
"Tf you need a fake id fo," She said
"Im grown don't worry about it," He said
"You grown until essence tells your mom and you get yo ass whooped," Josh said
I laughed and plopped on the bed
"Dont break the damn bed now ole fat ass moved the whole damn floor," Nick said
I sucked my teeth "Fuck you that's why yo ass single always wanna crack on somebody shut yo beluga whale ass up damn"I said
Essence and josh we're on the floor crying laughing while I and nick continued to crack on each other
"Again I'm hungry as shit so like what snacks you got," I said
"Theirs some Doritos in my draw" Essence said
"Why the hell you got Doritos in the damn draw," Josh said
"Cause I will be hungry and instead of going downstairs I could just get it out the draw," She said
"Yall some fat mutherfuckers," Nick said
I ate a couple of chips before I got sleepy and
I finally got the strength to get up "Im going to bed goodnight fuckers" I said and left the room
When I got to the bed I snuggled into the covers and let my body relax but for some reason, I couldn't get the thought of josh out my mind
Eventually, I was able to fall asleep but I continued to think about him the whole night...
