I don't want to be

I don't want to be, the perfect child my parents expect of me.

I don't want to be, the person always having to tell my friends they're making the wrong decisions.

I don't want to be, the teachers pet.

I don't want to be, the perfect girlfriend.

I don't want to be, the one who always volunteers to fix everyone's problems.

I don't want to be, the person you call in the middle of the night.

I don't want to be, the girl I see when I look in the mirror.

I don't want to be, the first person to show up.

I don't want to be, someone you can count on.

I don't want to be......

....I don't want to be  anything.

Savannah Dixon, just woke up one day and decided that she was done being herself. She packed a bag, wrote a note, stuck it on her door, walked down stairs and drove away. She was done with her old life, she was done with everything, she didn't know who she was, and she was going figure that out. Just not here, not in her small town where time stood still and being different meant being told that you were wrong, just for existing.

She's tired of being, she's ready to become something, she just doesn't know what that is yet.
